A REAL pump for Shrader valves
The Topeak RaceRocket is the only REAL pump for Shrader valves. All other pumps (I have purchased many over the years) that pretend to work on Shrader valves, are mostly or totally ineffective. When they do work it is only because the tire I am trying to pump is mostly full of air already. For most pumps, attaching the pump to the valve of a tire that is very low, will result in pushing the valve all the way into the tire. It is impossible to push hard enough on the valve for the plastic pin in the pump to push down on the Shrader valve pin. That is the main drawback of Shrader valves; having to push down on the pin against spring pressure. Whereas Presta valves have no such pin, and therefore no spring to push against. In order to fill a tire with a Presta valve one only needs to overcome the air pressure within the tire. While I obviously prefer Presta valves, and will only own Presta equipped tubes on my own bike, my wife's bike has Shrader valves. The Topeak RaceRocket solves the problem of the Shrader valve pin by using a screw-on fitting instead of of the "quick fit" fitting found on 99% of other pumps. The screw-on fitting is actually a thousand times faster because it actually works. You won't waste a lot of time trying to get the pump attached firmly enough to actually be able to pump air into the tire. The Topeak is very well thought out and engineered. You won't be disappointed if you buy one.

Very good pump for the price
I have used this pump for about 6 months and I am happy with my purchase.Pros:-Small and lightweight-Fits well in my hydration pack-Easy to pump. I am able to get a mountain bike tire properly inflated fairly quickly (for a hand pump).-It is sturdy and does not feel flimsy.-The hose pulls out and screws onto the valve. This makes it so you can use the pump in many different positions which is helpful out in the woods. The fact that it screws on means it holds a seal very well.-I like this better than using CO2 with tubeless tires. You have unlimited air and don't have to worry about running out of cartridges.Con:-The fact that it screws on means that it sometimes unscrews the valve when you are removing the hose. It does come with a tool to screw the valve back in if you do this, but you will lose air in this process. That said, once you know this, you can prevent it from happening.

GREAT bike pump! Topeak RaceRocket MT Master Blaster: Black
Topeak pumps are among some of the best I have used, and this one is no exception!!PROS:-The SmartHead thread on design is really straight-forward and easy to use...with NO leaks!-This pump is really light weight and only 7'' long, makes it easy to store on your person-Included side-mount bracket is very durable and even lets you keep your current bottle holderCONS:-No way to "lock" the pump from extending when it is not in the frame mount. (I have it in my Camelbak Blowfish Hydration Pack pocket, so this doesn't bother me too much)

Removes Presta valve core = completely flat tire = useless
I've used this pump twice on the trail and both times accidentally removed the valve core on my Presta valves instead of inflating the tire. Result: completely flat tire, annoyance on the part of my biking companions, and borrowing a friend's pump to fill my tires. Completely worthless. I'm not incompetent: the manufacturer has recently added a warning about this problem on their own website's description of this pump. I'm shopping for a new pump right now. I would not bother with this pump for Presta.

Great pump - and works as bellows for your campfire
Relatively small but very quick for a hand pump - one of the best I've used (admittedly, I haven't tried them all). The top of the cap has a tiny hole, meaning that if you use the pump with the cap on it will give you a tiny stream of air, which works perfectly to stoke a campfire. The only nit I have is that you have to unscrew both the hose (release hose from pump) and hose attachment (which switches to presta). I feel like this could have been more streamlined but it probably prevents rattling and is a very minor issue.

Best small pump I've used
Weighs less than an inflator and a couple cartridges, plus it can be used infinitely. Really, the best small pump I've owned, so I've bought a couple, and keep them with multiple bikes. The hose works so much better than a pump that has to be held against the valve stem the hole time. Plus, the tip of the hose screws onto a Presta valve, so it gets a great seal and doesn't fall off. Yeah, it takes a few minutes to pump up your tire, so it's not as fast as CO2, but it can be used for years, and greats less waste.

Good overall mini pump, be careful with valve thread
High volume mini pump, good design, and materials. Size is perfect to mount in the side of the frame (along with bottle cage) or inside your backpack. Valve mechanism includes a hose which is nice to avoid stressing the tire valve, BUT the threaded mechanism can be tricky and srew your valve core (happened to me 2 times and have to broke the valves). Nice that they added a valve-core tool at the bottom of the pump, that one is very handy.

Ease of use
This pump is used on my gravel bike, it's a little on the heavy side, buy the retractable airline and being a flexible airline makes this pump easy to use and reduces the amount of pressure on the stem. This is a mountain bike pump designed for higher volume, I would have probably gone with the next smaller size, not knowing how big this one is. I have this as a backup in case I run out of co2 cartridges, so speedy refill is not a priority for me. If this is all that one would use without co2, then I would stay with this larger size. I have this for my road bike in the smaller one and it has always worked well.

Great mini pump when you're out on the trails
Another awesome product from Topeak! Easy to use and fits both presta and schrader valves.Unlike some other pump, this one locked on to my presta valves easily and did not strip the stem!Recommended!
