Works surprisedly well
I honestly was not expecting this to work at all and thought I might be wasting my money, but I was shocked.I typed a lot for my work and am on the computer all day. My wrist and thumb area has been sore for some time after a fall. I have tried so so many different types of wrist/thumb braces. But a lot of them got in the way of my typing. So I gave this a go.It fits super snug. It will look like it won't fit and will be too tight, and while it takes some getting use to when putting it on, once you get it on, and adjust the brace to where you want it to sit, it's quite comfortable. It's gel, so even if it gets wet, it's not a big deal, just dry it off. It's like wearing a second skin that is hugging your wrist and thumb. It was comfortable to type with and kept the pain at bay while I was wearing it.If it starts to feel a bit tight, I just pull it out and re-adjust it and it fixes the problem. If what are you needing is just a compression wrist brace with thumb, give this a whirl. If you are needing more support and need to immobilize the tendon area at the base of the thumb, this isn't for you, remember, with this brace all your joints can move.

Good Concept, Too Thin where I need it most for Osteoarthritis (Thumb)
I have other compression gloves made of breathable material that are like fingerless gloves, which work great for me, but I'm constantly taking them off to wash my hands and I tend to drop things more often because they are not grippy.Which is why I ordered this. They are indeed, grippy and I don't drop things when wearing them. I can wash my hands with them (although it takes longer to dry my hands and gloves. They are very comfortable. The big negative about this product is it is NOT supportive enough for my osteoarthritic thumb. It helps. On a scale of 1-10, it rates about a 5 for effectiveness there, so it's better to have it on than not at all.I AM keeping them because they are very helpful when I want to do detail work...sew, craft, apply makeup, etc. For me, regular compression gloves are too bulky to do these things yet while these silicone? gloves are a bit flimsy, it's more supportive and alleviates pain a bit than not having them on at all.

Best gel/waterproof brace!
I have thumb arthritis and have tried several gel/waterproof style braces for specific tasks like cooking, exercise, video games. Of the ones I have tried, these are the most comfortable and provide the most support. I really appreciate that they come in sizes. I have very small hands (buying gloves is challenging), and I usually have to look for things that people are complaining are too small. With these, I can just order a size small and have them fit correctly! While I have worn these for hours at a time, I have not worn them all day - I think that would probably cause irritation, especially if they got wet repeatedly. In general, this type of brace needs to be powdered regularly to keep from becoming very sticky, and they are a bit of a pain to get on and off, so I still use a Futuro velcro thumb stabilizer when I need something for longer wear or something I can take on and off handily.I do wish these came in some other colors. I am a light skinned person, but these don't blend particularly gracefully with my skin, and I imagine it is worse for people with other skin tones. I would really appreciate them in black. Everybody can tell you are wearing a brace no matter what color it is, and black would be less likely stain.

Love/Hate Relationship
So..I'm conflicted. I loved these at the start, but a few weeks in wearing them I'm finding some issues.I have DeQuervains Tendonitis in both of my hands, worst in my right hand. I'm a home health nurse who's independently, my hands take abuse from transfers etc.I bought these because a normal brace is impossible to keep under knit trial gloves for work. These braces are great because you can wear them under gloves, but the thumb part tends to roll back. Granted, that's much more minor than a giant brace under a glove.I usually have to powder hands before putting these on, or impossible ( the Package does state that)I wear these 3–4 times a week and I've noticed there are parts of the brace starting to peel/wear away. Though they are silicone, they don't seem to have very much strength for normal wear and tear. The right thumb is ripping so they're loose with no compression now. There is no thumb support with these – but I do have to say it's amazing how much it helps my tendinitis. The pressure of them and the way they sit on my hands does do wonders. So if anything they do help my pain, while providing a minimal brace so I can glove up constantly at work. The only complaint is maybe the quality, they are starting to break down in less than one month. So it's a 50/50.The first few weeks cool- but after less than a months they're ripping, no compression and essentially crap. Waste of $11 because I was so excited for these

Love Them! But ...
Comfortable & supportive. I've been looking for a thumb brace/glove that provides the necessary compression. These are the 4th one I've tried and finally found what I've been searching for. But, my fears of a pale, flesh-toned support have been realized. I prefer dark supports, black or gray. 3 days of use and this one is stained by the shirt I wore today. Hand soap, Dawn® detergent, alcohol, vinegar, nothing will clean it.I'll still wear it but I'm disappointed I can't clean it.UPDATE: disappointed with durability. Wearing for several hours at a time, 3 or 4 days a week. After about 4 weeks the material has torn on the 2 I've worn.

This has really been a huge relief
It has been a great help with the pain and numbness I experience. With it I can move my hand without the unpleasant sensations. I can wash my hands as frequently as my job requires without it getting inside the brace, I can even put on gloves without hinderance. I even got some for some of my family members who deal with similar hand/wrist pains.
