River of Goods Fireplace Screen: Stained Glass Tiffany Style Screens - Gas & Wood Burning Fireplaces

I'm giving this product a five star rating based entirely on pricing and my own satisfaction as a customer. It arrived safely and well packaged, surrounded by cardboard and bubble wrap. Fortunately for me, one of my friends, who happens to be a stained glass artist, was with me when I opened it and just thought this screen was breathtaking. When we pulled off the bubble wrap we noticed an oily residue that left marks on the glass. We easily removed this with cotton balls and fingernail polish remover in scant minutes (I just happened to have it at hand but I think any good degreaser including dawn dish soap would work as well if not better) and just WOW! it's really beautiful. With the firelight behind it, this screen is the focal point of my living room. It is heavy though, (you know... leaded glass) so if you can't lift much easily it may be a bit much. Also it does get pretty hot (again GLASS) with a blazing fire behind it. Another aspect of this glass screen/fire protector is that it does block heat from the fire. For me, the ascetic beauty of the screen far outweighs the limitations i mentioned which is why I'm personally giving it the highest quality possible.

This piece is beautiful - better than I expected! I was looking for a fireplace screen to block the unobstructed view of our bedroom from our living room. This screen does the trick, and in a very attractive way. It sits steadily on our raised hearth in the bedroom and can be folded and moved easily. When the gas logs are burning, the multicoloured glow behind the screen is lovely. Quality piece at a reasonable price.

I was a little put off by this unit at first because it's made of plastic, but it can handle some pretty good fires so I assume that the plastic is made of heat-resistant material. The frame is metal, though.Other than that, it looks really pretty when you have a roaring fire. It casts a kaleidoscope of colors throughout the room. It does block some of the heat, however.

Loved this fire screen. Great colors. Easy to set up.would order again.

I was very excited to order this product - thinking the bit of color would be great in my living room. However, when it arrived I was disappointed, though it could have been worse. Details...Appearance: very pretty, lives up to the pictures. I'm sure it is beautiful with light behind it.Construction: It arrived with a broken/detached hinge, making it unusable. The panels (particluarly the side panels) were slightly warped. Overall the whole thing felt rather fragile. I would be afraid to move it regularly - which I wohld need to do since I actually use my fireplace. Though it sounds odd, the metal felt a little "soft" in a way.Weirdness: The glass was covered in a thin layer of oil. Not only is that a little off-putting, it would have taken a while to get it cleaned off. Perhaps it was just an overabundance of glass cutting oil, but it should have been cleaned before shipping.Packaging: had bubble wrap and styrofoam inside the box to protect while shipping, though the box was made of a pretty wimpy cardboard material. The box had begun to tear a bit by the time it arrived at my place.Customer service: Fortunately, aside from boxing it back up and making UPS arrangements, it was easy to return.Final judgement:If this is purely for decorative purposes : 4 stars. If it will sit in front of an unused fireplace - go for it. As long as it arrives without issues lime a damaged hinge, you are good to go.If you plan to handle this every time you light a fire (or stoke it etc.) I wouldn't risk it. It doesn't seem as if it can stand up to much active use.

What a beauty!! No assembly required, just opened the box, pealed the packing, and it was in place. The screen had a coating of light oil, probably to keep it in gorgeous shape during shipping, but it came off easily. It took 15 minutes from arrival to unpack and admire, clean off the oil with a soft rag, and put it up. Colorful glass matches our carpet and walls and really picks up the fireplace that had just a black screen in front of it.

The media could not be loaded. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! The screen is heavy and 100% stained glass pieces held together with lead. It is the real deal. Can’t believe it’s not over $1000!! Well made and well packaged. All I had to do was clean it and put it in front of our fireplace. Absolutely gorgeous!! We love it. It is an amazing piece of art. Thank you!!
