JanlynnBaby Footprints Counted Cross Stitch Kit

Thread colors are not labeled and the color printing of the design on the front of the package is way off. I wound up mixing up threads because some of the shades were so close. Also lost several strands of floss because they were so brittle, the second you put any kind of pressure on them, they would snap and start fraying. I wound up scrapping the first run of the design and starting over, using matching DMC flosses I already had on hand, as well as changing the colors used to make the bear, because the way it was done on the kit just did not look "cute."I like the premise of the design, and I'm certain the person who I will give the finished product to will like it as well...I just think the kit could use some improvements.

I got this for my cousin - mommy to be. I wanted to gift he something handmade and I liked the idea of the small piece that can be put on the dresser.I am a beginner in cross stitching. It is little confusing. Also, didn't receive the whole frame so it is useless for me. I took off stars because of the missing part.Otherwise seems like a quick finish project since there are only few colors.

Stitched this for my sister. She'd actually bought it on clearance at a local 'sells everything' type store. She wanted it for the daughter she was pregnant with. It stitched up nicely. Instructions were very clear. Chart was easy to read. No 1/2 stitches or anything like that. She decided she liked the finished product so much that I was instructed to buy two more kits...one for her son (who just turned 6 years old) and one for the 'future' baby she intends to have in another 4 or 5 years. I tried going back to the local 'sells everything' type store but, because it was clearance, they didn't have anymore.Luckily I found it on Amazon...and bought them up.It stitches very quickly because you're not constantly changing colors or threads every couple of stitches. A pleasure to complete...she loves it and I love it because she does.The pic is the finished product...while I was trying to get the mat in the frame straight.The ONLY problem I had with this kit...is that her name and date of birth ended up being bigger than expected. Her date of birth was the first week of June...and those 0's take up a lot of room. I had to put her's as 6-3-15 instead of 06-03-15. I still had to shift the date of birth to the left of center to make it fit. Same with her name...I had to shift it to make it fit. But I got it on there...and it looks great!

I've been looking for this pattern for over a year because I can't find the pattern from the one I made in the past in my stash. So glad I found this at last. Item came quickly and was packaged just as described. Added bonus was that it came with a frame!

I have used a similar Janlynn kit before and didn’t realize this one was different than the previous one. I wanted them to be the same. A few colors seems off. For example, the peach is more like coral and the Browns look nothing like the photo and are all so similar. I have found many mistakes in the instructions and I have only done the border so far. The actual cross stitch area is more like 3.5” x 5”, which is quite small unfortunately.

Great for a beginner. Loved the pattern.

A simple but adorable pattern that can easily be tweaked to match any nursery color scheme. Goes fast but looks good for a long time

I finished this for my grand daughter. Easy instructions. Had all of the parts needed. Had plenty of string. Came out beautiful.
