Nice quality piece
We purchased the item for our living room, where we hung our older LCD (46") on the wall about 6 months ago replacing our previous media tower (see photos with TV on the wall). Ever since our components were on the floor collecting dust. I wanted a unit that would suit the room size, was black, not chinzy plastic and was sturdy with glass doors for the components (so I can put child locks on the doors)Packaging/DeliveryThe item arrived as expected in a box that had some small dings, but overall was in good shape. Upon opening it I was nicely surprised. Every piece was wrapped and fitted tightly in the box with foam. All along the edges was particle board to reinforce the box which was impressive. Other that than some minor (very minor) scratched on the rear panels (which I'll never see) the pieces were all in good shape. The hardward literally have 1 extra piece for every size which was very nice to see (and shows either they can't count, or more likely that they wanted to make sure if you lost one there was an extra)AssemblyThis takes a while. I don't have a low-voltage screwdriver so did it by hand (which I recommend anyhow - too easy to strip screws or scratch surfaces elsewise). A single screw driver works (Philips head - the diamond) although if you only have a large one you'll need a small "eye glass" sized one for the screws needed to hold the glass in place. My screw driver was a medium sized one and it was able to assemble the whole thing. Interestingly enough they give you a tube of what looked like wood glue but I didn't see any directions to apply it (perhaps I missed it). Still with 20+ locking nuts I can't see the need for glue unless you are planning on carrying it around constantly. There is a LOT of screws. I bet there is closer to 50 of them! Be prepared for a sore hand when it is over. I believe one person can assembly this on their own. My wife helped brace things for me, but overall it was pretty easy to assemble (just long). The hinges are nice European hinges with dual adjustments which means you get to fiddle for an hour to get the doors level etc.Hints/TricksFor the shelves insert two plugs, put the shelf in and then add the plugs to the far side. The locking bolts are in a plastic collar. This means they can be shifted "slightly". So rather than bang the top on, adjust any bolt (by bending ever so slightly) so that it fits cleanly. Put the knobs on the doors before you add them to the hinges. If you close the door without a knob, have fun opening it! Finally take your time. It didn't take me 8 hours, but I think I spent 2+ hours assembling and likely 45+ minutes adjusting hinges (it is like car seats - trying to get the sweet spot if lots of micro adjustments)CommentsThe depth is sufficient for my Blu-ray player, WD TV Live (which is small) and a DirectTV HD-DVR. With the DVR there was only about 1/2" depth play accounting for the cables (which can only bend so much if using a hi-quality HDMI cable. The European hinges are adjustable which is good, but adjusting them is a pain. Since the brackets can slide getting the vertical position just right was rather tricky to get tight. There is only one shelf in the glass door section. This is probably ok for most people, although given that most electronics are now low/thin (unlike old VCRs), two shelves would have been nice. The biggest drawback is the front doors go to the bottom shelf (the bottom is not raised) - this means the glass only starts ~ 1.5" from the bottom and if you have any components on the bottom they will not receive IR signals unless you raise them. I used a small baking grill rack to raise the DVR up 1" (I suppose this would allow airflow underneath too (so not a bad thing given the heat of this device) and put it on a tea towel. All of my plugs, conduit outputs, RJ-45 jacks and cable jacks are now hidden. For those who commented on cheap materials..... This is much beter than anything you'd find at a big box store and I would argue most big furniture retail. Is it as nice as an all wood solid oak stained cabinet (like a dresser or bed)? No. It is a TV Cabinet. Will it fit in with other black painted / lacquered items? Yes. Exactly what I am looking for and would fit in well for most environs.Would recommend this to others and will look to purchase a coffee table/end table from them in the future.

I love it, but it's not solid wood.
I was not expecting solid wood. I actually re-read the description after ordering and receiving the product and was surprised it said solid wood. It is comical they call it Asian contemporary wood. I guess if it said particle board made in china they wouldn't get too many orders. It should more clearly read its solid and it's wood. Solid wood can be misleading, not sure if that is intentional. May just be poor Chinese to English translation. If you are expecting a solid wood piece of furniture, you are an idiot because put together stuff is never solid. Solid wood stuff would come fully assembled, your'e not going to obviously glue together dove tail joints. The packaging was very good and sturdy with no broken parts. Item arrived directly on time with amazon prime. Assembly time was about 2 hours. Box is very heavy and awkward. Basically opened the box where ups placed it and carried in the pieces. Expert DIY here, no issues with assembly at all. Instructions could always be better on these type of products, but these were adequate for me. If you have limited experience with assembly of china made furniture, you may have a problem. I did snap off a cam by overtighening, it was my fault really because I know this type of hardware needs a gentle touch.Came with glue for dowels, definitely recommend using it. Item looks identical to photo.Needed to clean it because the static holds the little pieces of styrofoam from the packaging. After the assembly, be ready to get rid of significant packaging materials. This unit worked perfectly for me, holds receiver, DVD player and still has room for more. still room for more. Wall mounted a 55 inch flat panel about it and it looks awesome. Can easily have held the weight if that's what your doing. I really have no complaints on third item, except for the price. I would have liked to have found something in the 150.00 price range, but couldn't find something suitable.I paid 236.00 for this item, if the price drops it will be a steal.Last thought, the glass doors are nice, but had some trouble getting remote to work. Needed to shift over stuff, can't quite center it perfectly. Can either take doors off, or may choose to get a signal converter for the remote.

Very high quality
I really like this cabinet. Assembly time was an hour and a half. It is very stable and for cabinet grade material it looks quite stunning. The door hinges can ajust vertically and horizontally for fine tuning the alignment. The rear panel was a bit tedious because it is actually four panels that seam together. This used a mass amount of screws. They did give a couple extra peices of hardware in most of the bags. Then on top of that they included a bag of spare hardware bits. Be careful not to over tighten the cam locks because I broke one and it was hard to get the two peices out. After that that happened as a precaution I twisted with my finger tips instead of using my wrist. The packaging was a bit hard to stomach. They used so much styrofoam. It did a great job protecting the many peices. The box had a huge rip in it from shipping and no peices were affected. The issue I came across that really let me down was the fact that the inner shelf is not deep enough to fit a standard size av reciever. The door hits the knobs. This is my fault though for not carefully reading the dimensions in the listing. Once I get longer cables to run all of my wires through the wall I will move the consoles down behind the glass and put the receiver in there place. It was definitely worth the money.

A great looking quality TV unit
It was a little complicated to assemble (definitely can’t do it alone) but the end result is fantastic. We decided to leave the feet off ours as we prefer not to have to dust under there. Overall, it’s sold, heavy, sturdy, sleek, and high quality.

Beautiful and Easy to Assemble!
This is a beautiful TV stand. I received it fairly quickly and it was packed well. I'm a single, 50 year old executive woman and this was very very easy to put together. It arrived at the front door when I came home from work. It's very heavy so I had to open it up and bring it upstairs pieces at a time. Off and on it took me 2 hours to put together. It looks stunning in my bedroom. I have white bedroom furniture. I changed the knobs on this unit to match the knobs of my dressers. I have a 46" TV on it. Very very sturdy.

Lovely piece of furniture
Perfect for my flat screen TV. TV accessories fit neatly on top shelf and other shelves accommodate ornaments etc. The cabinet is higher than most TV cabinets I have looked at and allows the TV to be at a desirable viewing level.
