I bought a large size to position on the wood floor under my bed, with the rug protruding from both sides and the bottom end of the bed. It looks great and the quality is terrific for what I paid. The rug is all wool, thick and feels soft underfoot. No shedding of note. If you find a pattern that works for you, these Safavieh rugs are terrific value.

I was so excited to have this beautiful new rug, but it was shipped with a big hole in it. Very disappointing. I went to return it, via Amazon's free shipping policy, but because it's over the 50 lb limit, I would have to pay for shipping. Very expensive to ship an 80 lbs rug. I shared the pics with the seller, and in the end, we were able to resolve the issue to my satisfaction.By the way, if you look at the picture of the rug on the floor, you can see the actual colors better.A comment about shedding. This is a pure wool rug. I've had others. Very thick weave. It is going to shed every time you vacuum it and shampoo it. A lot at the beginning. Every time you vacuum, you wonder how long that can go on for. It turns out, like 10+ years. And it still feels thick and luxurious, even near the end. It's basically the edges that start to wear out. The edges will wear out just like an inexpensive polypropylene rug that's thin and doesn't shed. This is my 3rd Safavieh wool rug. They all shed.

This rug is incredible. Let me start off by saying I am a price shopper. I wanted a decent quality wool rug for our family room that I have just redecorated, and I couldn't find anything the size that I needed (large) for less than $3000. I found this and after reading the reviews and looking at the pictures posted by reviewers, I decided to take a chance (which I don't normally do with stuff this big that I can't see in person). Let me also say that I found almost this exact same rug at another online rug dealer selling for $3200! I couldn't believe the difference in price. I was bracing myself for a slight disappointment given the huge savings I was getting by ordering this one, and when it came I was overjoyed to discover that I liked this one better than any I had seen elsewhere! This rug is HEAVY!!! My husband and I could barely carry it inside (I ordered the 9 x 11) with just the two of us! We unrolled it and were just amazed at how beautiful it is, and how thick and lush and comfortable it is under our feet. It is truly perfect for a family room. YES, it sheds a lot just like every rug for the first few weeks, but has already slowed significantly. We are all in love with this rug and to date it is one of our favorite Amazon purchases!!!

I did not like the color. It’s more green than grey blue. Green!!!!I gave it a four star because of color, but it’s a five star rug

Wool rug is thick with beautiful colors and came within a week

I was excited when I found this rug because it looked like a much more expensive rug for a lower price point. Others with a similar design and plushy feel are usually priced upwards of $1500 for the size we ordered (9’x12’). When it arrived I loved the look and feel. It’s very pretty colors, thick, and soft underfoot. I REALLY WANT to love this rug, but I just requested a return. The shedding is absolutely out of control!!! There is a layer of fuss on top of all my hardwood floors throughout the house. Even after vacuuming several times. Now I know why this rug was so affordable! Shedding is to be expected, but this is beyond what is normal for a wool rug. The shedding is so bad it feels like this item was determined to be defective by the manufacturer and product sent to Amazon to get rid of defect product at a low price point. I know that if I keep this rug I will get frustrated with the constant vacuuming. I’ve even noticed some unraveling along the edges of the rug after only a week in my family room. I’m annoyed because it’s large and awkward and have no idea how I’m going to get it back to Amazon for the return…save yourself the headache and DON’T BUY!!!! I’ve noticed that my throat feels itchy when in the house since getting this rug. It stops when we are out and about. Actually think the fuss is irritating us!

Perfect for my foyer! This is a beautiful, thick 100% wool pile rug in a soft blue that would blend with many colors. It is also a pet friendly rug. I have 2 cats with claws and bought a similar Safavieh wool pile rug 8 years ago. It still looks great so I am a repeat customer. I see a lot of comments about shedding, but the problem most likely is using a heavy duty vacuum cleaner with too much suction and a beater bar that pulls too hard. I have hardwood floors and use a light weight stick vacuum cleaner with beater bar turned off and have not had much shedding at all with my Safavieh wool pile rugs.

This rug works perfectly in my office. It is great quality rug, but I didn’t doubt it would be. I’ve owned many Safavieh products. It does shed more so get your vacuum ready to be emptied.

I had ordered two stair runners and loved the carpet so much ordered a rug for my hall. Quick delivery and it looks amazing
