Black & White Quilts by Design

I have not made anything from it, but as soon as I do, I am sure I will like it. I have taken quilting classes from Kay Capps Cross and she is the best ever teacher so I am sure her books are great too. If not I will Facebook her for help.

Kay Capps-Cross has come up with a unique group of quilt patterns that will send you on the hunt for black and white fabrics. I have made two of her Slaphappy quilts in the past two months. This pattern is so easy and so much fun. If you hate tedious quilt patterns and matching every little corner then this is the pattern for you. Using black and white fabrics allows you to have a fool proof cooridanted color quilt with little effort. The results are gorgeous!

I saw this book in a quilt store but came to Amazon to buy at a discount. Has some nice ideas, especially if you like black and white, with or without an accent color. Easy to follow instructions. Glad I bought it.

I have been wanting a tree quilt design. Absolutely love the ones in this book. Very creative work that lets your imagination enjoy each quilt. Kay really put her heart into this book and it is awesome to get a glimpse of her thoughts behind each design.

Great book had the pattern in I was looking for. Book was used but in excellent condition. I am pleased with my purchase.

Kay Capps Cross brings a new spark to paper piecing in this book. She adds a spark of color to her quilts and a spark of personality to the book. The stories that accompany each pattern bring each quilt to life and bring the reader and aspiring quiltmaker into the process. The patterns included in the book are diverse and will appeal to a variety of quiltmakers. Enjoy the process and definitely check out this book!
