KOHLERK-5864-5U-0 Cape Dory 33" Undermount Single Bowl Kitchen Sink, White, 9" Depth, Five oversized faucet holes

I'll be honest, and admit that the sink I received came in damaged. But Amazon made the return really simple, and I'll know better than to use Amazon Prime just before Christmas for something like this. But my new Cape Dory sink is installed and beautiful. I wanted the biggest, deepest, single basin cast sink I could fit into a standard base cabinet, and this is perfect. Bowl dimensions are about 29" wide, 15" front to back and a little over 9" deep. It's a single center drain but because of the size the drain isn't blocked with a standard sized dishpan, and I bought the rack that goes with it so there's good water flow under and around whatever is in the sink. Years ago we had a keyhole style of Kohler single basin, and I was disappointed when I found it was no longer available. This is actually better since the whole sink is the size of the larger round part of the keyhole version.I love the size and depth, but have to amend my review. Even a few years ago a cast iron sink was a heavy cast iron with a thick, smooth and stain resistant layer of porcelain. If you remember those you’ll be disappointed with the new version. It’s a thin layer of cast iron, two thin layers of two different other materials, and a thin layer of something that might be porcelain. The inside of the sink isn’t smooth so puddles, it stains easily, and it’s soft enough that even using the stainless steel rack designed for this sink has created indentations in the sink. I bought the Kohler sink cleaner thinking that I’d only need it on rare occasions, but thanks to the new and improved cast iron version of a sink I have a feeling I’ll be needing it at least weekly.It’s a really great kitchen sink that’s large and deep, but I just wanted to let people know it’s not what a Kohler cast iron sink used to be.

I ordered this salt finish sink at my local kohler dealer who told me the delivery estimate was about 3 months away ("supply chain backlog" they said). i promptly cancelled the order at the local store after finding the same sink on Amazon for a similar price but with a 48 hour delivery estimate. the sink arrived in perfect condition, well packaged, in less time than the estimate. I don't know how they do it but I was highly impressed with the turnaround and with the overall quality and appearance of this fine sink- its stunning in my kitchen and perfectly matches the new siltstone counter (calacatta gold). Thus, I am very pleased with this purchase and impressed with the order process.

Poorly packaged to start off... looked like it could be broken when it arrived. No issues and we love the sink. Deep basin. Clean look for a modern farmhouse style décor. Wife approved!

This expensive Kohler had been so disappointing. Not scratch resistant, everyday pots and pans marks are absorbed into the finish and now is impossible to clean. $450.00. for bad quality. Wish we could return it.

It's a good solid porcelain finish. Easy to maintain. Looks great after a little less than a year now of use.

This sink is everything I expected and more! It match's my kitchen perfectly I thought the color was going to be really bright white but it is more of a creamy white which is alot better, it looks rich. So far it has worked great I have wash extra large cookie sheet and it fit the whole pan at once. The finish is glossy, very pretty. This is my first sink with such a deep basin I am really liking that, so I don't have any negative things to say about this sink

Product arrived damaged. When I opened the box there was almost nothing surrounding the sink to protect it. It had two significant chips in the finish. I was very disappointed since I had our new counters being cut for this sink. Shame on Kohler for poor packaging. I don’t mind paying a hefty price for good quality, but the hassle of having to send this back and figure out what to do next was not worth my money.

Absolutely love this sink! It is so pretty and easy to keep clean. The waviness at the bottom doesn't bother me at all - its characteristic of this kind of sink. We've had it for a couple months without a sink grid and no issues yet. Still plan on buying one to help preserve it.
