My daughter got this for her recital for college and it was stunning on stage. She wore a diamond gem necklace and it complimented the dress. Beautiful red dress.

I had some alterations made to make it my dream dress and, in having those made, learned some things about the dress.Number one: it's kinda off. The angle of the v leading from the busy to the shoulder is different to the v leading from the shoulders to the back zip. It makes the dress fit funky and nearly requires alterations. You'll either have slippage at the shoulder or gaping at the sides of the backless back. You'll know what I mean when you get it.Number two: the fabric is inexpensive at best. When you're having it altered, your seamstress is going to have a hard time matching because, of course, their goal is quality.Number three: the applique and beading aren't tacked down very well.Number four: the modesty panel built in to the cleavage area is slightly crooked. I left it alone as only there wearer is likely to notice it, but it does bear consideration.About this dress: it's lovely. Truly it is. You get more than you pay for and it has plenty of malleability, so you can change lots and make it truly your own. It fits reasonably well (follow the sellers sizing chart), it flows nicely, and it looks great for a fancy event. I used mine as a wedding dress and it seemed that purpose very well.It comes VERY long, for all you lovely tall ladies out there. Shorter ladies, it's easy to hem up. We cut about a foot ish off mine and I'm 5'5". The ivory is exactly that.What I changed about mine: first and most obviously, I added bishop sleeves. I can't help it; I LOVE how romantic they look!! The rib cage area had to be let out a little. It needed to be shortened by a lot. We added a hook to the top of the zipper, as it wasn't very stable. We added a tie from shoulder to shoulder access the back with a long dangling charm. It was cute, but it wasn't necessarily my dream. This was used to offset the misalignment of the front and back. It worked brilliantly.About me: I am 5'5". 180lbs. 38B. I have a relatively flat stomach but back fat, hips, and thighs for days. This dress is sheer from waist to shoulder except for boob pads that do precious little, but the sheerness isn't obvious or very noticeable at all.I know I've listed a lot of negative sounding things here, but this is a very pretty dress. It probably isn't good for repeated use. An event or two every now and then, perhaps.TLDR: I loved it. I felt amazingly pretty and feminine. It needed some help to be perfect, but for an inexpensive wedding dress, I expected that. As long as you expect to spend a bit on alterations and get a quote ahead of time, you won't be disappointed.Amount I spent purchasing this dress on Amazon: $67Amount I spent having it altered to fit my weird shape, hemmed, sleeves and tie back added: $50Total amount spent on my wedding dress: roughly $120.Am I pleased with my purchase? I usually don't write reviews, or making it short and sweet, but I think it is important that I write a detailed review on this dress.I will start by saying that this dress is beautiful and the color is gorgeous! It is long and soft (not itchy) and the tulle is soft and flowy. The sides are see through, which adds to the beauty and classy look of the dress. I bought this dress to take portraits of my daughter with the Cherry Blossoms and it was just what I was looking for and had envisioned for the shoot. My daughter and I both loved it and are very pleased with the overall look (the color, length and fit).Sizing: I had to order and return the dress three times. The first time I ordered I followed the sizing chart. My daughter is very petite but busty. Her measurements are; 35 1/2, 26, 35 1/2. According to the size chart, I went ahead and ordered a size 8. When the dress arrived it was huge on her! I returned it and sized down to size 4 and when it arrived, it was still bulgy around the chest area (pictures attached). I ended up returning that size and going with a 2 and it fit like a glove! If you are very petite but busty, I suggest sizing down a size or two.Flaws: some of the beads came off immediately after she put on the dress. I was disappointed about this. some of the beads are sewn on very loose. I'm sure it will lose more beads as she wears it throughout the day. Also, the tag was sewn right into the seam of the dress, if I remove all the thread from the tag it will rip out some of the stitches from the seam (pictures attached).Overall I would recommend this dress, keeping in mind that some adjustments might need to be done to make it better and sturdier. I am 5ft 3, 125 pounds and bust 32A, and a size 4 fit me like a glove. It is a gorgeous dress in person. I got the hem altered by 2 inches so that when I wore a 3.5 inch stiletto heel the dress just barely touched the floor and was the perfect length on me. The fabric of this dress is of good quality and the pink color is beautiful, however I noticed that the embroidery wasn’t as sturdy as it could have been so that as the night progressed I noticed loose threading on the beaded sections of the dress. Additionally, in the back there is a zipper and a small hook that hooks in place to keep the zipper from Sliding down, however within a couple hours of wearing this dress I noticed that the hook had fallen off. Thankfully the zipper sits low on your back so it only gave an inch or so before it Met The narrowest part of my waist where the skirt flared out so that even though the hook wasn’t there the zipper did not move more than an inch. This meant that I did not have to worry about the dress getting unzipped or had to worry about wearing a safety pin. The bust is also well-made with supportive cupsso that you do not need a bra although that might differ if you have bigger breasts. I wouldn’t know. Overall, I received lots of compliments wearing this dress and felt that for the money that I spent on it it was a good purchase. My only suggestion to improve this dress would be to make the stitching more sturdy so that neither the hook nor the stray threads come off of the embroidery. Finally, if you’re on The fence regarding whether to buy this dress, I would definitely recommend that you buy it. You will not regret the decision.

This was for my daughter, who normally wears extra small (or size 00 for jeans). I was planning to take for some alterations because smallest size we can see was size 2. However size 2 fits her perfectly around waist, shoulders, chest etc. So I think they are smaller than other North American size.
