Just what I wanted & needed
Love this gazebo! Bought for 2 reasons: to shade my back patio area (which gets direct sunlight making it unbearable to lounge out there) and to provide cover for my lil dog when she goes out to handle her business in the rain. She’s afraid of the rain (poor thing). It definitely provides adequate shade so now we can comfortably hang out on the patio. Idk about the rain yet since it’s still summer but I will be buying a heavy duty tarp for winter because the cloth cover that is provided is NOT waterproof. This is very easy to assemble with a clear instruction manual. I completed by myself in about 30 min. Of course the process would go faster with two people but I like to do things myself because I’m very particular when it comes to DIY projects. I have a concrete patio thus it’s not nailed to the ground. Product is sturdy and despite some heavy winds at night it hasn’t blown away or even moved an inch. I’m in love with it’s size- comfortably fits 3 people in reclining lawn chairs or 3-4 people sitting at my bistro set. The photos attached are from the moment it was assembled. I was so happy. Even my “lil helper” was excited about our final outcome. 🐾P.S. for those wanting to know if the top actually slants, see my photos for clarity. I hope this review is helpful to someone.

The top cover is the only draw-back
I like this gazebo, it looks good and really helps to cut down on the sunshine. However, the only draw-back from this product is the covering. When it rains, water pools in the back four sections; causing the cover to sag from the heavy weight of the rain. I've had to push up on this covering to empty the pools of water. Now, where the water was pooling the top is no longer tight across the top, but has a permanent sag in these areas. If the company just included two more top bars; this problem would go away with the rain!

Looks good but retains rainwater
Quite a challenge to assemble because of the heighth of the poles. You have to assemble the canopy frame first then attach it to the poles standing up. Requires two people and two stools. The construction is very sturdy as a result of how it is assembled, however. The disappointing aspect is that the canopy retains rainwater because of the canopy frame design. We have added nylon twine across the support beams to address this problem. I would not recommend this as a shelter in a particularly rainy area. Unless you are both handy and patient, I would not consider this a "temporary shelter" given the assembly challenges mentioned above.

Decent, but needs a better top
I bought this in 2020 and installed it solo (don’t recommend— have a buddy help you!). It looked really nice and worked well until it rained or stormed. When it rained, the top cloth would pool up with rain and cause it to droop and we’d have to push the water out with a long stick. We did end up installing some bungee cords to provide more support and that seemed to help, but when we had a minor storm with some wind, the top cloth tore entirely and I couldn’t fix it with a hand-sew. I tried reaching out to the seller and the original manufacturer to see if there was a way to purchase just the replacement canopy top cloth, but they told me no. So, I ended up having to buy a random and ill-fitting tarp and using bungee cords to attach it. It looks terrible now with this random cover and I kind of hate it, but I’d like it a lot more if there was an option to purchase just the replacement top cloth.

Love this gazebo
Just ordered this gazebo this spring 2021, it’s not big , but it’s perfect for my small deck and gives shade to get out of the sun.I had no difficulty putting this together or following the directions.I wasn’t sure how the canopy would hold up in the rain, so I sprayed it with waterproofing and water resistance material outdoor spray..I do have trouble with the rain puddling up in between the canopy brackets, I jut add some card board from front to back and it works perfectly.I’m very happy with this little gazebo, just wish I could find a screen that would attach to it, I’m thinking on trying out the garage door screens along with attached door screen for entryway.

Awful assembly instructions, actually broke during assembly and no refund yet
I spent a lot of time researching a canopy/pergola set up that would fit on my very small deck and be somewhat easy for me to build. I live in an urban area with very little privacy. I had hoped this pergola would provide shade, privacy, and a place to relax with friends. The assembly instructions were not clear and were hard to follow. About two hours in, one of the key supporting iron bars literally tore apart from the frame. I tried to keep it all going by using some packing tape to temporarily hold it together, but the thing was clearly doomed at that point. I literally spent about five hours trying to get this thing put together and ended up just taking the broken bits apart and putting them back in the box.I reported that the item was defective and broke during assembly to The Sportsmans Guide. They told me that they can't refund me unless I ship the heavy broken thing back to them. They told me they'd send me a FedEx label in a week and to ship it back to them. The FedEx label has yet to arrive (2 + weeks) and in the meantime, this thing likes like a rusting hulk on my deck.If I had more experience reading crappy no-word furniture assembly diagrams and assembling furniture, this thing might have been a little easier. Also, if somewhere in the print instructions or in the Amazon listing it was noted that this is a two person project and not a one person project, I could have planned ahead better and not found myself trying to balance a bunch of metal bars while simultaneously trying to connect them to each other. If you decide to order this item, set aside a good chunk of time to assemble, make sure you have a friend to help, and don't expect any help or a refund from the seller when the thing breaks.

Sags with rain
I weaved the entire roof with lawn chair strips before putting the cover over it. It helped. The heavy rain rolls off and the sagging fabric stays flat/ this manufacture needs to send plywood or plexiglass to secure to the roof before they can earn 5 stars. It’s an inexpensive solution to a cover for the back door. You also need to use blocks to raise it above the door.
