Works great as a rod mount to a truck tool box
I have a one piece 7ft rod that was hard to transport except by laying it diagonal in my truck bed. This also had the side effect of scratching the reel. I decided to mount one of these to my tool box and it works perfectly. I take a small bungie and loop it around the rod mount for extra security but I don't think that is strictly necessary - more for my peace of mind that it can't fly out while driving. Installation was easy and took about 10 minutes. Very happy with product.

I bought these to replace some existing white rod holders mounted to the side of my livewell. Space is tight on my jon boat so a few years ago, I added some single rod holders. It always bugged me that I couldn’t find black to match my existing holders but now the power of the internet has changed that.These were easy to install - primarily because I already had holes drilled from the prior ones. The holes lined up perfectly and these stand-off a similar difference to the existing. I lucked out that this was a 2-pack since that’s precisely what I needed. Hardware is provided - I didn’t pay attention to whether they are stainless or zinc plated. My existing hardware was stainless due to the saltwater application.Now, I have uniformity in the color of my rod holders. It’s the simple pleasures in life :)

These arrived slightly misshapen and def not as heavy as a cheaper pair I got from Walmart. Had hopes these were going to be a little nicer , as they cost a little more.Rough edges. Cheaper plastics.
