Sooo I just received the super cute book. I bought it brand new. I read the comments and the description and I couldn’t really find the other titles of the stories in this book so I took pictures so it can be helpful. I can’t wait to start reading this pretty book!

This is a collection of French fairy tales. The size of a paperback novel. It contains all kinds of fairy tales you have never heard about as well as some that you probably know by heart. I ordered it because my girls like me to read to them at bedtime and we have already read so many familiar tales. I wanted some new ones....mostly for my own sake because the girls would hear the same ones over and over again and never seem to get tired of them. But Grandma wants a little variety. Be advised, though, this book has no illustrations in it at all . And the vocabulary is definitely at the upper end for kids. They can get most of the meaning by context and a challenge or two is good for kids. But this would be way too difficult for younger children to understand. In fact this is really a study in period literature, where adults wrote fairy tales for the entertainment of other adults in the salons and to talk about over dinner. In the days of yore, the upper class wrote stories, played musical instruments, painted, etc. for the fun of it. These tales are of that ilk.

This is a good collection. The book itself is well made. The pages are gold along the edges, and the cover and inner cover are nice. There are no illustrations within the book outside of the outer/inner cover. One might think that it would be better with, but i like to think that since this was a gift for my just born niece, that it will be good for her imagination, to not have any pre dispositions about how the characters should look, it will let her create them as she will.

I got this book withbthe impression that it was just Beauty and the Beast. I was surprised and excited to mor of my favorite fairytale within the book. A great find and buy.

I bought this as a gift for my sister (who LOVES Beauty & the Beast as well as pink) and it couldn't have been better! She has been collecting the Barnes & Noble classic books for years and I was so excited to find this book on here - should have known Amazon would have something amazing like this. Book arrived early and was in great condition. I would purchase from here again!

I saw this same book at Barnes & Noble, but couldn't get it at the time since I was heading to a concert. I decided that since I have prime why not just get it on here, and I'm glad I did. The quality of the book is amazing!

Beautiful quality book. Cover is beautifully done. Great collectors book. Black and white pictures inside, but not many of them from just glancing through. Was a gift to my niece, who loved it!

This book is beautiful. So many good stories in it. The colour of the outside is amazing. And my favourite story.

The media could not be loaded.  I haven’t had a chance to read the book yet: so no comment on inside the book and whether there are issues with misspelling or typos.But as you see in pictures/video it is a very beautiful eye catching book.

These books are the most beautiful books ever made. Expensive, but if you're a book lover, then totally worth it to glam up your shelves.My first order for this book didn't arrive but was quickly resolved with the seller.The thing I didn't realise when collecting Barnes & Noble leatherbounds was that the childrens collect and classic collections are different sizes. So if you, like me, are ordering to put next to each other in a neat line on the bookshelf then be wary of the size

The cover of this book is very attractive, all pink and silver and a lovely design, the paper is a nice quality and there is a nice selection of tales within its pages. The big disappointment with a book of fairy tales of this price is that there are no illustrations which would have enhanced it greatly and frankly without them makes the book rather overpriced. Lovely illustrations entice children and adults alike, especially in fairy tales and greatly enhance quality It does of course look very attractive on a shelf.
