LEGOMinecraft The Red Barn 21187 Building Toy Set for Kids, Girls, and Boys Ages 9+ (799 Pieces)

This was a hard to find set. My son loves collecting and building Lego sets and this was the perfect addition.

My grandson LOVES this Lego creation and most Lego sets! It was very easy to assemble for him!

One of my favorite Lego sets. My family and I love Minecraft and it just meets all the expectations of a great Lego set and what we love about Minecraft.

So to get this out of the way: It's LEGO, it's going to be expensive. I'm just not sure this is comparable to other $100 sets out there. Maybe it's just a pure brick-count calculation. But the price point is the only reason I deducted a point.Anyway, I gave this set to my LEGO/Minecraft-loving 7yo son and he tore it open and completed the build in under an hour. I wouldn't call it as iconic as other LEGO Minecraft sets, but it's got some great features to add to your collection. The whole set might be worth it just for the chicken-riding baby zombie. The crop-growth mechanical feature is cute, but I've seen more interesting and playable features in other sets. The barn is also somewhat uninspired, but there are plenty of bricks here to be reimagined into some cooler builds.Last note: The "frustration-free packaging"...I'm not quite sure what that means. It appears to have come in a box from the supplier. Essentially a slightly larger brown cardboard box over the retail box.
