Nice set
These appear to be very nice. The metal coloring is clean and smooth. The price is very reasonable. Shipping was fast considering it was during the holidays. Ill order from the seller again.

Good kits, but a bit hard to press together.
The hardware is better than expected for the price, but I did have a little trouble getting the press in pieces together as they are quite tight. That's not necessarily a bad thing, they definitely aren't going to fall apart, but I did have to make a jig (or you could buy one made specifically for pens) with a clamp to get them in and cracked the wood on one of the pieces trying to get the fittings in before I made a jig.

Good value, nice variety
I purchased two of these kits and found both very nice. It has a good variety of styles, the quality is very good for the price, and service from Crooked Mill is excellent if needed. Good directions and prompt response to emailed questions. I'll be back for more!

Bought for my son
I bought these for my son to use in wood shop class. They are easy to assemble, unfortunately he did have to throw a few away due to the wood he was turning. The wood was so soft chunks were breaking off and he wasn't able to salvage the pen inserts.

Know how to make a pen
Difficult to see which hardware package (colour) is in each bag - have to open all to figure it out, then keep all components separate after that.Assembly instructions are broad, but if you’ve made a 2 piece pen like this before, you’ll be fine
