This warm red, woven jute rug is fabulous. Being made of natural fibers, it offers a beautiful, texture to any room. The secret to taking care of your rug is buying a good, non-slip rug pad that eliminates sliding and helps to extend longevity. Easy to vacuum & soft to walk on. Upon receiving the rug, I opened it outside to let it air out, then I lightly beat it with a broom to get rid of any extra air-borne fibers. NO mildew smell as stated in some reviews. Totally in love and certainly recommend to others who are considering a more natural-look in a room.

I absolutely love this rug. It’s affordable, good looking, good quality. Alittle hard on the feet but my kids seem to not care. My little daughter loves playing on it. Would definitely purchase again.

Rug rolled out beautifully. Soft on your feet. I like the fringe on the end. I was a little worried that my robot vacuum was going to get tangled in it, but it seems to navigate it just fine. Initially had a little bit of that natural grassy smell. But after two weeks, I don’t notice it anymore

This rug exceeded my expectations, it looks like it was purchased from a high end decor store. It is perfect for my dining room. I can also see how it would look good on a covered patio. Only reason why I gave 4 stars is the texture is pretty scratchy/rough, I definitely wouldn't call it "soft". Definitely would not be able to use this in a bedroom or living room. Doesn't feel great on bare feet. Also not sure how it will do with crumbs or fallen food. The material probably won't be easy to clean.

EDIT 3/1/18: I am downgrading my original review from 4 stars to 3. Unfortunately, the item doesn't stand the test of time. The item browned in the sunlight, and traffic (particularly from kids and dogs) caused it to warp and unravel. We finally decided to throw it away.It was good while it lasted, though, which was about 1.5 years. If you don't have kids and dogs, and if you can keep it out of too much direct sunlight, you could probably get much more mileage out of it than we did.--ORIGINAL REVIEW--First off, it looks every bit as terrific as the photos show, which is why it gets 4 stars instead of 3. It's also very soft, at least once you've gotten all the sticks and hard fibers out. Before buying, though, you should be aware that:1.) Because it's natural fiber, it has a LOT of dirt, sticks, and hard fiber pieces stuck into it. I spent a good week walking over it and using scissors to cur out sharp and hard pieces. It's much better now.2.) It's a very large weave, which means that it will fray, stretch, and warp fairly easily. You need to be okay with a more "rustic" look if you get this rug. Ours has several pulls, but the bad ones can usually be fixed by tucking them back in.REGARDING THE COLOR on the Bleached version, the staged photo is most accurate - we were worried when we bought because the direct overhead view looked a little yellowy, but it is a nice natural bleached color that's perfect for our dining room.Overall, expect some mess and some maintenance. But if you like the rustic look, this is a good product for a great price.

This rug is beautiful and after months of looking for a rug I like, I’m so happy to have purchased this one! I wasn’t sure if the color would be too light, but it’s a perfect off white/ivory color. There was no heavy jute smell upon opening, but there were some loose “hairs” or fibers and some sticks weaved in here and there, but that’s to be expected with a jute rug. The texture is nice, and from experience with other jute rugs it will soften more and more with use. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Received the 12’ runner today. It’s so thick and sturdy. I wasn’t sure if it would truly be chunky but it is. It’s stunning on our hardwood floors. No awful smell. Will update after a few weeks.UPDATE: I love this rug. After a few months it has softened and feels great under foot. A few pieces stick out and I just tuck them back in. It is a natural fiber rug so this is expected. I have two cocker spaniels that walk on it everyday and have had no issues. I have this between my gas range wall and the island with sink. If I spill, and this does happen, I blot with paper towel and never see a stain. The rug gets tons of traffic and still looks beautiful.

I love the rustic look of this rug. It does have some frayed tassles that make it look a bit damaged. I really hope it holds up over time and use. I got the 4x4' size, and it is perfect in the space I have planned for it.

Typical of Jute rugs.. it sheds like crazy. Fibres fly everywhere when shaken out, and always a collection of fibre dust when lifted. It's not necessarily soft to walk on either.. 5⭐️ for looks

I bought a 8` runner for my bedroom, a beautiful natural product. The runner is not shedding its thick and soft enough to go barefoot on it. I love it and will defently buy a otherone !
