Listened to the instructions and our little guys hatched within 24 hours. Lots of little dudes! They grow noticeably every day and it's fun to watch them do little loop-de-loops and zip around the tank. After about a week they're almost an inch long. Only two ended up making it this big (as they outlasted or maybe ate the rest, their names are MacLeod and Ramirez, ha) but my house is cool so it's been difficult to keep the tank temp stable at 80. I ended up wrapping some cardboard in foil underneath and behind the tank. On chillier days I made a little dome of foil around it to keep the temp up.Sometimes you just need to use some attention to detail and maybe some google for tips on aquarium/terrarium pets!Did buy a lamp, bulb, and thermometer (only $0.98 on amazon.)

When you buy this kit, you often receive low-quality eggs packaged in dirt from an unknown source. Many communities specialize in raising and caring for these invertebrates. These kits are often scams and may not even contain triops eggs. Even if they do, the hatch rate is usually very low. Instead of spending 20 dollars on these kits, consider purchasing pure triops eggs from Amazon and consulting a reliable care guide.

This was such a item for a lover of Jurassic Park. The eggs took a few days to hatch but they are fun to watch swimming around! They are still growing and I am sure will continue to. All items were in the box and directions were easy to read and apply. Quick set up and has been fun to keep an eye on as these critters are amazing. Would buy again for another lover of prehistoric creatures!

I used my old discarded fish bowl as a new home for my little creatures. They all hatched in couple of day, they are really really tiny at first. This kit was certainly lesson in survival of the strongest, because after a month only one survived, I think it must have eaten the others. I would definitely buy again, but although the instructions did not specify this, I would put each egg into a separate aquarium, so they can be safely handled.

We did not use bottle water or a heat lamp. Only one hatched. We’ve had better luck with other sets.

My son loved this item. He had fun watching the eggs hatch and grow into a little creature. The only downside is it only lives for 30 to 90 days. It was quite interesting to see the little creature grow. You must use distilled water.

I'm pretty sure the kit I got on this (not from amazon just same kit). Mine turned out looking oddly like sea monkeys. They did live, and these ones are multiplying better than my last kit. So hey,'. Not a total waste. Still good.

Have had these in the past and are a lot of fun. Only thing I would recommend changing would be the tank. Had one before where the tank was taller, which made it easier to view.
