I’m absolutely in love with this chess set! The pieces are intricately detailed and have a great feel to them. They are also a fantastic decorative pieces when not in use. The only downside was the color scheme—it didn’t match the board as well as I’d hoped, which made it a bit confusing during play. However, I decided to repaint them, and now they’re perfect! If you’re into chess and appreciate craftsmanship, this set is a great choice, just be mindful of the colors

Thought I’d spend a few bucks and get a nice looking chess set. Very disappointed to find the chess pieces have red and blue colors directly mixed across pieces, making it extremely confusing to discern which side is which. (See pictures) The board itself though is very nice; desirably heavy and seems well made. Bummer. Sending it all back for a refund.

It's a handsome looking set. It is well appointed and has a nice weightiness to it. My pet peeve is locked out the color variations need to be more pronounced. It would allow for the player to more quickly recognize which are their pieces. I plan on using some enamel paint to help with that variation difference. The details are wonderful and the gas tank is done incredibly well. None of the pieces are rough or appear to be quickly or shabbily done. The board is the star in my opinion It sits as of it the king or the queen itself on its for pedestal cl aw feet and the detail of the painted spots where you move your pawns & such across the board is real pretty. Most just lovers would be proud to own this set. It is definitely giftable. The only true negative if it does not come with a storage case.

Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – From the moment you open the box and see the level of care that is taken to ensure its safe arrival, you know you’re getting a quality set. It feels like a well-made set with obvious attention to detail that has a higher end look and feel to it. Because of the materials used and paint job, it appears to be delicate, but should hold up fine under normal use.II. Performance – The pieces are all fairly uniform with a matching board to tie it all together. It’s obviously a treat to play on and does equally as good as a display piece that could be passed down with pleasure. After looking over every piece carefully, they seem to all be flawless for the most part, but does have some hand painted variations that should be expected. I really like the design from the claw feet on the board to the different solders and what they bring to the game. It just a fun set to look at and play on, as well as being great to leave out for display.Overall, this is a wonderful chess set, that looks even better in person and has left me super excited to have it in my collection. It feels like a treat to have ever time I look or play it, that I’ll continue to enjoy daily. This was a very nice chess set. Everything from the board to the figures had nice details, with good colors, and decent painting. My only complaints were that a couple of the figures wobbled and upon checking, the bottom would need to be sanded down to fix but only after removing the cloth padding it had. The other was that there were some minor imperfections on the board itself that stood out, but beyond these. it was a very nice set.
