We bought a camper in 2017, which was fitted with the smaller diameter TV antenna. It was a great disappointment and never really worked unless we were parked next to the TV tower fence!What a difference this TV antenna made. We are located 42 miles away from a cluster of Cable TV transmitting towers, and now we get crystal clear reception. I am sure it's going to work great during our 2025 summer camping trips - especially to get local weather forecasts when we overnight at a rest stop.Fitting it to the camper's roof was easier said than done. I had to remove the interior roof panel carefully, and then the insulation. The camper roof is only 7/16" plywood. I needed to glue an additional piece of ½" plywood, that fitted neatly between two roof beams, to the roof. The base comes with a plastic washer that fits between the base and the outside of the roof, as well as a metal washer that fits inside against the roof. The supplied screws were long enough to go through the two layers of plywood to secure the base.
