This duvet is described by the seller as "soft" and "wrinkle free." It actually borders on scratchy to the touch. It also comes out of the dryer completely wrinkled, even if removed right away, and the wrinkles don't smooth out over time when on the bed. And everything sticks to it. Hair, dust, fur, etc. Not a winner.

I purchased this queen-sized duvet cover set in Teal, for use on a size Full bed. The only other comparable item (that was also 100% cotton) listed on Amazon was nearly twice as expensive. I purchased this for use at my parents' vacation home, but I like it so much that I'm considering using it permanently on my bed at home.The color is beautiful. The cotton is soft, but substantial feeling. It's woven well, and of a significant enough thread count that you can't easily distinguish individual threads. (That's the only mark of quality that I really care too much about with bedding. I know enough not to trust whatever thread count most retailers advertise.)The corner ties are easy to use, and the zipper closure moves easily. I haven't washed it yet (and hopefully I won't have to launder it often,) so I will update my review if anything changes... But I doubt anything will, since this seems sturdy enough that I don't think an occasional cleaning will harm it. Since it's cotton, it will obviously get thoroughly wrinkled, (but I worked at a Gap store for 4 years, so wrinkles don't bother me much.)This queen size comes with two matching pillow shams. They are also nice, but I've never been a fan of the decorative flange (that strip of fabric flapping around all the edges of the pillow) because they aren't particularly comfortable to sleep on. Since I don't have an extraordinary number of pillows on my bed, I will stick with using the pillowcases that came with my sheets. (I feel sort of guilty for plugging another sellers product in a review, but I am amazing pleased with the teal sheets I bought from Mayfair Linen [ASIN: B01MU46OHJ]. You should check them out!) These shams will probably stay folded up in the linen closet, unless I need to use them for some emergency.Honestly, it's tough for me to be too effusive in praising this duvet set. Truly the best deal I could find online.

Nice duvet! Duvet itself is soft, pillow cases are not as much.NOT wrinkle free, I attached before and after wash photos, the wrinkles make it look like a linen duvet.I don’t mind them, the color of the gold is more of a muted mustard, which is what I was looking for!I like the ties and the zipper closure, well made and great sizing.

Edited: This cover has been comfortable, I have washed it three times. Unfortunately, putting it back onto the duvet after the last wash, the zipper came completely off 😟. We’ll use safety pins for now...sad the zipper isn’t sturdier.Was interested in the true color of the dark teal in addition to the feel of fabric. I have included a true tone picture of color. Notice the (what I consider) teal bench at the foot of the bed in contrast to the cover. I would call the cover color medium navy, not dark teal. Fabric is not luxurious feeling, but is soft, so I’m not worried about comfort. I have washed it once, cold water with tumble dry. I took it directly out of the dryer and put on the bed so it would not wrinkle. For the value, I would buy again.

Upon opening the package there is a chemical odor to the duvet cover and pillow cases. While unzipping the duvet to check for ties a powdery substance wafted out that smelled and tasted chemical like. Not overly upset about this because I am sure it will wash out. The tie downs are awful one side an inch the other a quarter inch- no attention to detail barely able to tie duvet to duvet cover because of length being short and uneven. I have not decided if I am going to keep it not because of the fore mentioned but because this is my first time owning a king size bed and it barely covers the sides of the mattress 90x102 is NOT long or wide enough to cover a king 12 inch mattress 76x80. I think this duvet cover will "work" for the price but not without frustration over tie downs and measurements.

I have bought higher quality, much more expensive duvets, that I liked but where nothing special, just maybe a bit thinner and softer. I was just looking for a pure white duvet that was crisp and clean looking. This one works perfectly! Is it super soft? No! Is it stiff and scratchy and uncomfortable? No. I’m sure after a few washes it will get softer, do to the fact that it’s all cotton. I absolutely love the zipper verses the buttons. Space to put comforter is not full length of duvet, but didn’t create a problem! I had to iron shams, but took the duvet out while still warm and it didn’t need ironing. I am extremely picky with my sheets and have to feel them before buying them. I do not like anything stiff and I would without a doubt purchase this duvet set again! Hope this helps!

I'm pleasantly surprised by how nice this set is for the price. I've bought King Duvet sets for 4 times the price and the quality isn't that different. I agree with the other reviewers that say the zipper is a little flimsy and the ties could be longer and there could definitely be more of them. I won't wash it, I'll dry clean it so it can be pressed to put away on a hanger. Taking away one star for that but otherwise, for the money it is worth buying. I bought white and it's a nice, crisp white and doesn't wrinkle much when sleeping with it. It is lightweight and not stiff. I'm happy with it.

The duvet cover fits nicely on our old down comforter, and the clean lines blend perfectly with the room. We didn't want additional warmth or weight and this duvet is light enough it doesn't add too much. The fabric seems very durable and during one week of use, is withstanding our cat walking/bathing/knapping. The only negative is the little ties in the corners could be about 1 inch longer to make tying easier. They are only about 2 inches long. I don't want to tie knots (future laundering) and with my small fingers, even I had trouble making a bow.
