Old World Christmas Alligator Glass Blown Ornament for Christmas Tree

2020 has been such an awful year for so many. But there is an orphaned otter named Joey at the Vancouver Aquarium that was rescued and is being rehabilitated and this little boy has brought so much joy to many around the globe- including me. When I saw this ornament, I knew it was THE 2020 ornament for my tree. I can't think of a better way to commemorate 2020 because of Joey, the people who rescued and care for him daily, the 'wigglers' as we are known on the youtube live stream chat, and the joy and hope he's spread around the globe. Love is action and Joey and his wigglers have created a lot of action!! I will love this beautiful ornament forever and I'll never forget Joey. Thank you Joey and Merry Christmas.

This adorable ornament will be on my Christmas tree this year. It's beautifully crafted. I love all the Old World Christmas ornaments. The quality is outstanding and the value is awesome as it is less than the MSRP. I will definitely continue to purchase these ornaments. Back story for the ornament...I live on the water and an otter was making a home on the bank...every night my boy---black lab--- would go out barking looking for him. So in honor of the otter that made a home on the bank this year, I purchased this and so happy I did! I love the colors and the glitter which does not rub off...OWC ornaments are AWESOME!!!

This is obviously a very beautiful piece with genius color contrast. I dropped a photo so you can kind of see the craftsmanship. It kind of looks like it was sort of painted in a rush with some kind of angular brush strokes on the tentacles, so the one I received is not quite as delicately done as the one in the photo. But unless you are studying it, not a big deal. Still a very unique item and my sister absolutely adored it. Her and my dad have squid and octopus tattoos to match and we have a real appreciation for 'krakens,' if u will, as a family. it looked beautiful and was very well received for her first Christmas tree in her first home.

First of all this thing showed up so fast! Wow. Also came in a cute as heck little Christmas box!Ok as for the ornament, my god it’s so beautiful, the colors are super rich, the details are crisp, it’s thin glass yet it still feels sturdy in the hand. I couldn’t tell in the photo but there’s actually a light dusting of glitter on the octopus that in my opinion ads some extra demension and detail to him, it’s very classy glitter, the really fine stuff, I love it. Alas this is not for me, I bought it as a gift and I have to part with it, but I know it’s intended owner will love him dearly.

We got this cute little baby for my sister who loves otters and man is she gonna die when she opens it! The color is rich and vibrant and the details are crisp and clean, it’s very realistic looking and because it’s hollow it doesn’t weigh down the branch (yes I “used” it before I gifted it haha) the water has a light dusting of very fine glitter that really completes the piece perfectly, and it all came in an adorable little gift box wrapped tightly in thick bubble wrap to keep him safe. I can’t wait to give this to her!

Exactly what you want - a blown glass alligator ornament with some glitter sprinkled on top. I tied a fabric ribbon to it and used it as an exchange ornament with our faculty. We're the Gators. It was a huge hit! Shipped in a giftable box. Classic ornament!

The ornament was gorgeous...it was a pre-Christmas gift and the recipient loved it! The only negative was the packaging...it was in the ornament box, torn and tattered and wrapped with bubble wrap, but it was shipped in a bag...I'm really shocked it was still in one piece when I received it.

It arrived safely, nicely boxed and ready to be gifted. I presented to my cousin, as an early holiday gift. When she opened the box, was the first time I saw the ornament. It was beautiful, looked like the picture and was nicely made.

I don’t know what an octopus has to do with Christmas, but this is one of the most spectacular baubles in our vast and growing collection. It is a colourful high-quality Christmas Octopus bauble that is a little bigger than I expected. It was not cheap in particular as we had to order it from overseas.But it came intact in a lovely decorated box that instantly gets you in the mood. Also it was wrapped with plenty of protective paper. The bauble itself is detailed and nicely decorated. As a modern baubles it is relatively sturdy, more so than the classic thin ones.Most of our baubles are in a bit of a classic/vintage, semi-Victorian style. These combined leads to a very full, colourful but super impressive and cheerful Christmas tree. Most guests are in total awe when they see our tree and spend minutes checking out the curiosities. And of course it provides for hours of excitement when we put it up with the children.

Very pretty on the tree what you cant see from the photo is the detailing and sparkle which continues round the back with the starfish in her hair , waited a few weeks for it to come from the USA although rather disappointing that despite the claims these are traditionally made that are in fact made in china

Another winner from Old World, I love this little crocodile, I did draw a thin black line to show the shape of his teeth (easy to do) as otherwise they were just a white mass even though the definition is clearly there, now he looks perfect, I am very pleased with him, 5 stars!

Wow! Such a beautiful glass mermaid ornament, the colours are stunning, even better than expected. Arrived safely and well packaged to U.K., will definitely use the Global Store again. Can’t wait to hang on our Christmas tree this year!
