Everything I expected

International Sunbonnet Sue, indeed! What a great book! Check out [...] for a great blog based on this book.I'm a member of the U.S.'s diplomatic corps and a quilter, and now I can use these great patterns to make a quilt that reflects my own travels around the world! In fact, I was so excited that I've started working on my blocks already -- applique and embroidery combined -- and they are turning out fabulously!! A great way to use up all the tiniest scraps I can throw away. My only complaint -- not enough countries depicted! I've had to draw up many of my own patterns for the countries I've visited, but even then -- thank yous and kudos to the author for coming up with the idea! Excellent book and a must-have for Sunbonnet Sue aficionados!

got to love the sue. sunbonnet is a pattern that has been around for generations. this is a very nice variation on the theme. i can look at the cover and on most of the sue's guess what country they are from and get it correct. the patterns are full size and easy to use. there is a finished image to look at for fabric ideas and a good full size pattern page. there is a good variety of sue patterns. this would be a good addition to your sunbonnet sue book collection. the book was in mint condition.

I love this book. The first thing I made was the American Sue. She is just so cute holding the American Flag. Then I have a friend that just got her American Citizenship. She was originally from Holland. I made her a pillow with the American Sue on one side and the Dutch girl on the other side. She was so touched. The best thing is you can do embrodiery or any type of applique that appeals to you. I know this book will get a lot of use in my quilting room. Love it, Love it, Love it.

I really like the idea of sun bonnet sue all over the world. the patterns are easy to follow.the only thing I dislike is the way the book was bound. maybe they can bind these type of books so they are spiral bound or something so they lay flat. this is especially helpful when you must copy a pattern that needs to be exact !!!!!

My mom, 2 friends and myself are doing this quilt as a "Friendship Quilt" exchange. We each picked 4 of the Sunbonnet Sue. Our goal is to make 4 blocks of each girl, total 16 blocks. We bought 8 yards of a light blue for our background. This is the main exchange color. I can not wait to see the different technics. We have two machine appliquers and two hand appliquers. I am sure it will be a years worth of work to be done. Will rewrite and send picture when finished.RjEales

Exactly what it was advertised.

I really like the sunbonnet Sue pattern and this book has been extremely helpful in making a small quilt with several of the different countries highlighted in this book.

ce livre offre une nouvelle vision sympa des fameuses Sunbonnet Sue. Facile à suivre même si on ne maîtrise pas l'anglais car le livre contient tous les dessins par contre je pense qu'il vaut mieux être assez expérimentée en appliqué car il n'y a pas de numérotation pour expliquer dans quel ordre procéder... délicieuses idées cependant.J'adore!

El libro es un capricho para toda amante del patchwork. Las muñequitas preciosas, de lo más originales. Los patrones grandes, cada muñeca ocupa una página del libro, lo cual me parece muy útil porque es un buen tamaño y no hay que estar ampliando. Sin duda me lo volvería a comprar, estoy ansiosa por empezar mi quilt. Las muñecas me parecen muy bonitas para aplicar en camisetas o cualquier otro trabajo. Muy recomendable, y un precio muy bueno

Started by making the Japanese Geisha from pattern given by sister, loved it so much bought the book to get all the other Sue's.Am planning several quilts using the Sue's but in different settings.
