Easy to use & clean
This is great for grinding all my dry items like flax seeds, nuts to make flour, etc. I have not tried "wet" ingredients so can't comment on leakage from those items. It's so easy to clean as you just remove the cup and wash. A couple of minor criticisms: 1) The design of the bottom of the cup because there's a hole to attach to the base is sometimes difficult to dry thoroughly even if air-drying. Water gets trapped in there. 2) the blade where it is attached is a little "jiggly". I'm not sure if that's by design but it makes me wonder how long this will last if it's not by design.

A Must For All Chefs/Cooks/Households
Awesome. How did I love before buying this? Works well, easy to clean, and satisfies my need to crunch fresh walnuts, cashews and other nuts to use in my baking. Every home/chef should have this. Good value. Well made.

Nice little grinder
I purchased to grind both seasonings, and coffee for my percolator. Due to the 1st negative (below), grind larger portions (half a cup full). It grinds coffee well and it only takes a few pulses to make a large grind which I need. I'm pretty sure I could make the grind as fine as powdered sugar if I wanted.Negatives:1. It pushes product to the sides away from the blades. If you are only grinding a small quantitiy, you will have to shake it every 2-3 pulses to get the product back under the blades. Not a deal breaker, but can be a nuisance.2. You need to rest the grinder if you are doing a lot of grinding. It does get hot quick if you are grinding large quantities. If the grinder is getting hot, I'm sure the blades are too... not good for the product your grinding up.3. Grinded material falls between the cup and grinder since there isn't a good seal. A bit of a pain to clean it, but not anything to cry about.Pros:1. It's a good grinder designed for light to moderate use, which is what most households use it for.2. No lingering smells after cleaning since it's stainless steel.3. Easy to clean.

Efficient and quiet
Great gadget. Simple and easy to use. Very quick grinding, most of the time just a few seconds are required. I use it for spices- whole allspice, milk thistle seeds, coriander, etc- and it works beautifully. Put the spices (or whatever) into the cup, press on the top, and in no time at all you have a powder. Very quiet. Very easy to clean. What else could you want? And a very nice price too.

Loose blades, leaks, and microplastics
I'll add my own experiences, but encourage you also to read the reviews left by Sayrah (jan 21, 2023) & Taylor Lee (Nov. 12 2022). They are both 100% correctIn no particular order:The grinding blade arrived very loose. This apparently is "normal", but supposed to snug up when installing the cup into the grinding base. Mine still has a good deal of lateral and vertical play even when installed. This has caused any liquids or oils to leak out into the grinding base. The provided recipes do not seem to be appropriate for the spice mill. I tried making Tahini (a precursor to the Hummus recipe), and there is so much 'dead space' beneath the blades that about half of my ingredients were left whole. I had to dig things our and move them around with a chopstick to try and get them incorporated. very inconvenient. The hummus recipe also cannot be right. The grinder has a stated max capacity of 1/4 cup, yet the recipe states add 19oz of chick peas, 2 Tbs of lemon juice, 3 Tbs of Tahini, 1/3 - 1/2 cup of olive oil, plus the spices. It cannot fit. It also said to add the oil through 'the feed tube', which is not a part of this device. this recipe must have been copied from a food processor. It's the only way this makes sense. I gave it a shot to see what would happen and, unsurprisingly, the grinder wasn't able to mix the full quantity. The motor overheated before it was finished. This might sound like operator error, but it is what the recipe said to do.Other things that need improvement:- In the first day of use, the plastic grinding lid has become pitted from whatever hard spices I've ground. How much plastic is making it into my spice mixes?- The plastic lid has 90 degree angles where it fits over the cup. Fine powder gets stuck here and is very difficult to remove- The inside base of the stainless steel grinding is not stainless steel. It has a central cutout where the blade pokes through and that is made of plastic. More places to wear down, shed plastic, and provide crevices for spices to embed.Very disappointed in this grinder. Definitely heed the other 1- and 2-star reviews.
