Evanโs does it againโฆ as always!
Got a Dw design series matte black so I thought Iโd make it twice as tough looking and throw these on there! Sound is incredible. So much that the wife came downstairs to tell me this set makes my last set sound like a toy!! Love these heads

works great and gives the retro feel, has a darker tone
I absolutely love these heads! I have them on all my drum kits. For playing Rock to Metal these have a nice warm tone. you can tune really low and still get the resonation and the response is perfect.

Brings your drums to life!
I bought these heads to put on the toms of an old Rogerโs drum kit and I very pleased. It bought those toms to life. It gave the toms the jazzy, classic rock sound I think they are meant for. The price was also reasonable. I highly recommend these.

Very Good Quality
These drum heads are durably made and the sound is great. The tone (to me) sounds healthy and rich as compared to the cheaper default drum heads I had. The default plastic drumheads sounded imaciated with a slight plastic twang. This style of drum head would be perfect for my roto toms if the smaller sizes were available.

Great heads
While theses are batter heads , I put them on as bottoms to get a look for my kit I was going for. I was pleasantly surprised when I found that they gave my drums a nice deep sound. I had been looking for a way to achieve this and it was a nice accident when I found these headโs brought it to me. I may even buy another set for batters once my current heads wear out. Great buy.

I may be a convert!
Recently I was looking for some heads to put on a set of Starion shells that I modified. My original plan was to use a set of Attack heads on both the resonant and the batter side of these shells. That decision was based mostly on price. Not completely though as I have used the Attack heads for resonant heads with very good results. The Attack heads that I bought though are single ply. To me that make them great candidates for resonant heads but I think a two ply head is better for a batter head. I gave the Attacks a shot on both sides but I wasn't completely happy with the sound and felt a two ply head would just be the better way to go.In the past I have used Remo heads for batter heads almost exclusively. I still very much like the Remo Pinstripe heads but decided to give these Evans heads a try just to try something different. I am very happy I did! These Starion shells now have a very nice sound with lots of resonance. The most noticeable difference between these G2's and the Attacks is that the tuning range seems to be much wider. The Attacks had a very narrow tonal range where they resonated. The G2's seem to resonate everywhere! From very loose to moderately tight they have very nice sound and resonance. I have some Moon Gel damping pads installed to cut down on some of the resonance but doing it this way instead of choking the drum offers a much better sound. By adding, removing, or moving the Moon Gel pads around I can control exactly how much resonance the drums have without having to change the heads tune.I should mention that I am still using the single ply Attacks for the resonant side. With the G2's on top and the Attacks on the bottom these shells sound great! Also, on the bass drum I have Attack no ring heads on both sides. I also have a pillow in there for damping and this bass drum sounds just amazing! So, the Attacks have their place but on the batter side I am very impressed with the sound, tuning range, and ease of tuning of these G2's. If you've never tried them, give them a shot, if you have you likely already know what I'm talking about!

Forget REMO
I had originally opted for Remo emperor drum heads but after being let down by a seller on ebay i started doing a little reading up on the merits of the 2 makes and having used Evans on my snare drum for more years than i care to remember I opted for the Evans G2 and I am so glad i did. I have always struggled with getting a balance on my tom-toms with the Pinstripe heads but as soon as i fitted the Evans G2's i found the sound I have been searching for. Up until this I had toyed with the idea of changing drums kits but i'm so glad i didn't these heads have given my tom-toms that attack with a great growl of after tone, no need for damping I just fitted tuned up and played.Kit fitted too; Pearl ExportExcellent product.

Bang on!
As well packaged and speedily delivered as one invariably receives from this product and company, these babies certainly fit the bill perfectly. Their mid-dry sound with minimal overtones and plenty of depth make these perfect for me in every situation and style. You may even listen first on the Evans website, just to make sure of the sound for you. These is a great value package.

Nice!
Lovely and new, after careful fitting and tuning - and re-tuning after some playing and experimentation with dampers. (B flat for the batter and A for the reso is fine imo) Just the right tone for me too after spending some time on the Evans' website listening to the different skin-sounds/tones. They are also very easy on the pocket, so all in all a fine all-round(;-)) pack.

Great sound and easy to tune
I bought these for resonant heads to compliment the G2 heads I use as the batter heads and the improvement to my sound is incredible. I had always used the stock or other cheap heads as my resonant heads and whilst the G2s initial impact sound was excellent I had never been happy with the cheap tuneless resonance that followed it. So after stopping being a cheapskate I bought this set of G1s and the improvement was sensational. My kit has never sound so good.I also have to say these were the new level 360 heads so fitting and tuning was an absolute doddle.

Warm deep sound without a long sustain
During lockdown I refurbished my kit. These evans Tom heads were the finishing touch. They are excellent quality providing a deep warm sound without unwanted sustain. They look fantastic against black or darker coloured hoops.
