this book is pretty cool
This book is pretty cool, but I am way behind on my coloring already! Nice paper. I prefer gel pens to anything else...but there is some minor bleed thru on the pages. The best thing to do when you color is to put a page behind the page that you are coloring. Fun pastime. There are designs from many of Johanna Basford's books. I like the layout...it was a nice gift to myself. Lots of room to write appointment reminders.

4 stars āļø
I do love the concept of this calendar. I like the simplicity of the pages and the look of the pretty coloring pages. I donāt actually color them, but do enjoy them each time I use the calendar. I carry this with me each day, so I love that it is lightweight and not too bulky to fit in my bag. The pages are thinner, as other reviewers have mentioned. Iām okay with that. One improvement Iād like to see is a thicker cover page. My cover ripped Day One when I was removing the label! But, I taped it up and am still using it.

It's the only planner I ever want to use
I have room to make lists mark upcoming events and even add to do, and I did lists. I don't even have time to color most of the pictures anymore but carry some colored pencils with me in case I have a longish wait. I am sorry that it is no longer 18 months as I frequently make appointments a year in the future.

Fun planner for coloring fans
This planner has good paper for coloring and nicely designed pages along with the holidays noted and good space for writing my daily plans. This is my 2nd Johanna Basford planner and I hope she keeps making them. My kids love coloring them, too, and I donāt mind sharing since I have my own books of hers as well. :)

Love the layout
I love the weekly planner layout and what can I say about the artwork? It's the usual gorgeous Johanna Basford coloring pages scaled down to fit. I took a star off for the paper. It's fairly lightweight and very smooth. My pencil color slips and slides on it making blending layers challenging. Having noted that, it's not enough to keep me from getting the 2021 version and I am, overall, happy with this planner.

Classic Johanna Basford!
If you're a fan of Johanna Basford's work, then this will not disappoint. It does not contain any new illustration, its only images pulled from all her already released coloring books. Images from her new 'How to Draw' book is not included in this calendar book. I love it!

Greatest Planner
Satisfies need for coloring & doodling, while giving plenty of room to document life's happenings. It's fun to add color to life as it happens. Or color ahead...Which we were never aloud to do in school!šEnjoy!

Not Worth $15; NO Monthly View
If you want a planner you can color in, your choices are very limited. After a lot of deliberation, I went with this despite some of its failings. While Iām happy with it (didnāt return it and am using it), I would NOT buy this planner again. Iām very glad I paid half price bc this is NOT worth $15 IMO.I think next year I will just buy her daily calendar (which is great) and put those in a regular, better quality planner instead.Pros: Not too big, nice images to color, spiral boundCons:*NO monthly viewā I almost didnāt buy because of that, as not having a calendar I can see at a glance for appointments and holidays is a big deal for me.*Paper isnāt white, but cream (very yellow)ā this means any stickers you use with a white background/outline will look bad*Paper is THIN and double-sided, so essentially ALL media/pen will show through at least a little (Iāve tested several diff things: micron pens, multiple brands of fineliners, pencil, gel pens, and Tombow - all shadow, some bleed through horribly when normally they donāt)*Daily spaces are SMALL, about 7/8ā high, meaning many stamps/stickers are too big to use. Not only that, but I found myself running out of space constantly. I have to use post its for To Do lists, etc bc thereās no room*No blank spaces in the front of the planner (there are some lined ones in the back. So forget about monthly or yearly tracking, unless youāre willing to sacrifice a daily space somewhere*No tabs for months, so you need to make your own or spend more $ on stickers/post its*Cover is not very sturdy. I donāt expect it to last the year. They should have gone with a thicker cardstock/cardboard*Similarly, spiral isnāt very good and Iām not very confident about how it will hold up long-term either*The spiral also meant using some stamps/stencils tricky to impossible, and since the numbers/day are on the right side, you have less useable space than you otherwise might.

Lovely image selections, but fewer images than before
I knew this year's diary had fewer pages than previous years, before placing the order, so I can't rate it down a star because the description is actually accurate. Most people probably wouldn't need the extra few months anyway, as this does run for the required 12 months so from a planner point of view it does the job til next year's edition. It just means the extra images are omitted this time, but I imagine people have some of her other books anyway. Some people will be disappointed that this isn't reflected in a lower price, since previous years offered more for the money - maybe next year the price will be lower?

Fab diary
Iāve always loved Johannaās products and artwork, and have all of her beautiful colouring books. I hadnāt seen a diary in this form from her before, so snapped it up. Itās lovely. I can see that this is going to keep me busy all year. I love the idea of journaling, but I think this will be perfect for those of us who want to test the water as it were.IM ADDING TO THIS REVIEW, AS I HAVE SINCE PURCHASED A SECOND COPY, JUST FOR THE COLOURING PAGES.

Only 12 months
Having bought this diary for the past two years I was disappointed to find this years covers only 12 months instead of 15 months previously.

Quality paper
A beautiful diary with colouring pages, Johanna is a master of her craft.I love the quality of the paper, the only thing I would have preferred is if it was hard cover instead of spiral bound, because my diaries get so much use the pages tend to come apart and that would be such a shame, but otherwise itās perfect!

Ideal
Great diary. Spent many pleasant hours colouring on the weekly drawings. Robust and the spiral binding is great for this type of diary
