Dee Zee DZ95050B Aluminum Mesh Cab Rack

I love the rack, but have two critiques-#1- when I viewed the product on Amazon, it qualified for Amazon Prime (the service that you pay for to get free 2 day shipping on products that qualify for the service). Several days later I was contacted by a shipping company wanting to set up a delivery. Unfortunately, I work so it ended up taking about a week and a half to get the rack, and I had to send them a release email stating I allowed them to leave it in my driveway, since they could only give me a 4 hour window for their drop off and I didn't know if I'd be home in time to meet them.#2- Really connected to #1, there was damage to the box when I got it. I took out the rack and was very pleased with the thing itself. Unfortunately, whatever damaged the box must have rubbed the rack too, because the black powdercoat was completely rubbed off down to the bare aluminum in a line about 3 inches long. It's not worth griping about, and probably wouldn't matter anyway, since they show I received the order in good condition because I had sent them the email allowing them to drop it in the driveway.To sum up- product is good, I love it. The guys I bought it from fulfilled the order, I just would have liked to know how the shipping was going to go down so I could plan. Now I've got years to look at the shiny silver rub on my pretty black rack to remind me what happened.

So far, after two days, I like this rack.Pros:It fits my 2015 Chevy Silverado LT just fine. The cutout is high enough to let others see the third brake light, and also to let the bed lights do their work. Aside from the mesh, there is no blockage of the rear window. Easy to see through.It is lightweight (but sturdy) and generally easy to install.Looks good and the adjustable lumber posts (included) are pretty nifty.Cons:Regarding the installation, the mounting instructions are mostly pictures (very little text), and they describe using some rubber standoffs (included) as part of the stake hole mounting, but it wasn't clear at all what they were for (in fact they seemed to prevent the proper installation). The last page of the instructions says, as a sort of side note, they can be discarded if the fit doesn't work. After an hour of head scratching, I removed the rubber standoffs and was able to finagle the mounting brackets into place, on a diagonal in the stake hole. The fit isn't as perfect as I would hope for the Silverado, but I imagine that is more Chevy's bad design and not the fault of Dee Zee.

The rack arrived in perfect conditions (FedEx Ground) one day late. My truck (2012 F150 XLT Super crew short box) has plastic liners along the edges of the box and even when I removed them the pre drilled holes on the rack didn't align with the ones on the box. I had to drill through the rack, the liners and the box in order to properly secure the rack. No extra noise at high speeds. Looks rugged and the hardware provided secured the rack properly. Nice looking rack.

The top of the rack sits right in line with my center brake light and cargo lights, blocking them.I put a one inch 'shim-stock' on each side, raising the whole thing up an inch (or so).It now lines up better with the top of my cab, and you can see the brake and cargo lights on top of my truck cab.I have a 2008 Dodge 2500 crew cab (I even emailed the company, Dee Zee, to make sure it would fit before ordering this).I wish it was an inch or two taller. This is a really nice quality product!

I wish I could have tried the product fit on my truck, Dee Zee say's it will fit what they mean is sure you can bolt it on but it doesn't fit right because the same cab rack is made for a multitude of trucks over different years and body styles. Dee Zee should put more effort in mfg to make item truck make and year model specific more of a custom fit. I would not recommend this product.

The fit and finish on this cab rack is great, they did a good job welding and painting. However, the cab rack itself was/is not designed very well at all. The bottom of the rack matches the edge of the cab, but then towards the top, before the first bend inwards, the entire cab rack sticks out past the pickup cab vs following the contour of the pickup cab up. I bought this one over the Pro-Tech one because it had the built in track for mounting items on. I checked a buddy pickup who has a Pro-Tech on the same year pickup as mine and it follows the contour of the pickup cab nicely, unlike this Dee Zee one. I emailed the company with pictures but never heard back from them on it.

Fits like a glove looks great but could have beenpainted better they missed a few spots so you can see the aluminium and could have packed it better cus it has a scratch on it thats quit noticable but othwr then that its great

The rack is solid and looks great. You will need to find a small piece of wood to stick in the side stake pocket holes to pick up the nuts/ bolts unless you have tiny hands. Fit well on my 15 3500 HD Silverado.

Nice looking rack, well built. Not sure if it's supposed to be universal or not but its lower than the cab of my truck, it blocks the third brake light leaving the hole for the brake light in the windshield area therefor leaving it unprotected. The bolts supplied to fasten it to the bed of the truck were too short and the spacers were too small. I used my truck model in the search and this rack was a result so I assumed it would fit my truck, apparently not.

Very nice look, fit perfectly, fast delivery. I recommand it
