I love my Expedition! Its band is comfortable and looks great. The watch itself keeps great time. And the glow when you press the buttons at night is awesome. The hands glow also. I would buy this again. Timex has never let me down in 55+ years. I trust Timex for accuracy and longevity.

For those of us who don't need Rolex, or even Bulova, written across the face of our watch, this Timex is a great (and affordable) choice -especially if your work or hobbies result in physical perils for your watch. I bought this Timex to replace my former Timex- pretty much the same model. After nearly 20 years of hard use, the old one's christal was scratched to the point of being hard to read. I'd worn out about eight watch bands but the watch never gave me a problem.The new watch, when it arrived, was easier to read, its night light, superb. I expect the same long life from it as from previous Timexes. and its nice to have a new one. The watch is attractive with an excellent leather band, and I think it is easier to set than my previous one. Overall, I'm very pleased with my watch and of course, it's reasonable price.

The first watch I received was defective, however Amazon exchanged the product within 24hrs and the replacement works great. Solid build and accurate timekeeping. Can’t go wrong with Timex (when they arrive in working condition).

This review mainly serves as a reminder for people who may not look close enough before they place the order. This watch is a good watch and I receive a well-made product. Very comfortbale on wrist. Looks great. Very good value for its price.I am kind of a Timex fan, owning a few Timex watches for quite some years. One was bought in 2001 and just started not working last year. This Expedition's quality is just like all other Timex watches I own: care free, well-built for its price, and long lasting, which I believe this one will also be.The reason I am buying this Expedition is I need a field watch that is big enough. The spec of this Expedition is listed as 40mm case diameter and I thought that should be big enough. Turns out the dial looks quite small when you have it on your wrist.The photo is a comparison between Timex Easy Reader (35mm case diameter) and this Expedition (40mm case diameter). You can see their dial diameter are pretty much the same. After measuring it is around 30mm-31mm. The Arabic numerals on the Expedition actually are smaller than the Easy Reader. Well I guess that's why they name it the Easy Reader.All in all, this Expedition looks and reads time smaller than your typical 40mm watch. Mostly it is becasue the bezel/frame takes out quite some real estate of the 40mm diameter which I didn't pay attention to when I ordered.

Love my Timex. It's a basic watch, but it works well. I bought it to wear when visiting clients because my GPS watch was too big to button the wrists on my dress shirts. This watch is nice enough for business casual, keeps good time, and is tough. It's a good buy for the money.

Second one I bought to me for the money it's an excellent watchAlso I keep it on in the shower 24 hours a day and last probably 2 yearsWorth the money to me

I am very pleased with this Timex Expedition watch regarding the overall appearance, time keeping and value. For wrist sizes greater than 8 inches, the watch may appear too small.

11/7/15 UPDATE - I've only had this watch less than one month with very mild use and the band is already starting to shred. Now I'm paying an extra $10 bucks for another band. Very Nice.3 Stars Because The Band Is Just Okay Quality, Not Nearly As Dark Or Thick As Picture Indicates, and Doesn't Match Up So Well With The Face. Plus, the face backdrop is dark grey and not black and this watch was a second choice as replacement for my original order.I Originally Ordered The Much Nicer T49261(in my opinion) More Bold, White Back, Better All Leather Band that I returned because with white hands on the white back made it to much of a strain to read the time so I switched it out for this one. However, I did note the indiglo light works much much brighter & better with the white back watches verses these watches with dark grey/black backs.OKAY - This Particular Watch Looks Much Like The Picture With The Exception Of The Band Not Being As Dark And Thick As Picture Indicates - A simple clean looking watch for daily use. The band is composed of a decent quality combo 50% dark brown leather and 50% nylon. Also, the band is a little more on the rugged side and my personal view is an all leather band would have matched up much better with the dressier face on this particular watch.Only Two More Things I Think Need To Be Pointed Out :A) Watch measures approximately 9.5" fully stretched out. So if your wrist is large you may want to reconsider.B) When it first arrived I thought it was defective because when I tried to set it and test the indiglo light the dial would not push in or pull out. FOR SOME INEXPLICABLE REASON THESE IDIOTS PUT A TINY PIECE OF PLASTIC VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE PREVENTING THE DIAL FROM ANY MOVEMENT. This tiny invisible obstructive plastic piece needs to be removed before you can set this watch.This is still a very nice Watch and as with all Timex watches - Outstanding Value For The Money.That's It - hope I helped someone.
