For the animal lover they would be great and the cute treats each animal has makes them even more fun. Great for imaginative play. These little pets are made of wood and are a quality product. I expect them to outlast the kids and will be around for years and years. The kind of toy that gets passed down from one generation to the next. Kids that participate in make believe have better control of their emotions and these little pets are perfect for make believe.

Wow, I am very happy with this product. Opened it up and all the pieces were there and intact, not a scratch or scuff on them. The paint was bright and colorful and the wooden craftsmanship of the items was sturdy, thick, and seemed very well made. The quality of it all is great value for price. The cat has a string tail and all the animals have a sort of fuzzy felt-like fabric ears which is a really nice, surprising small touch. The pen in the photo is for scale, the bowls and food items are pretty small so may be lost easily and I would caution removing them or parental supervision if you are giving it to a child that is still inclined to put things on their mouth. My kiddos are 20months and 3 years and while I haven't given it to them yet I know they will absolutely love it. I am a huge fan of toys that stimulate imaginative play and lay groundwork for responsibility and caring for others/animals and this item scores on all those points. Feels like a solid, good old fashion toy and 10/10 would recommend. Very satisfied!

I am thrilled with my purchase. I needed to add more "pets" to my granddaughters doll house. She was thrilled when she came over and saw the new additions. I definitely recommend these and I would definitely purchase these again. Well made, I'm very happy!

Really cute and fun to play with but super tiny pieces

We love Hape Toys and this little pet set was the perfect pick for our daughter's dollhouse. It is made of high quality wood with a durable, even paint job. The pieces are VERY small, so be careful with small children. The only reason we gave it 4 stars is because the bunny ears could be improved. The material was frayed from the start which attracted our daughter to pull at them (I think she thought she was 'fixing it'). They eventually pulled out, which she was pretty upset about. Otherwise, she loves them. We plan to buy additional Hape toys for her dollhouse in the future.

Probably the best item I’ve ever bought from Amazon hands down ! I love this toy so much I got it for my daughter for Christmas, she has yet to see it but it heals my inner child.
