I bought this as a second smoker for doing forced absconds.This one is too good for that. Now I've gotta get another "cheap" smoker! Foxhound is a really great company, Glad I found them!

Mine did eventually fall apart but it lasted me a little over a year. I can understand the frustration of others. However, the airflow through this was perfect. It stayed lit with the top on and took of within a puff. Even tho mine fell apart, the function was worth the year I got out of it. I rarely get more than a year out of any smoker.

The air intake hole Did Not align with the bellows outlet. Not the quality I expected.

I’ve always bought cheap smokers in the past and they work okay for a season or two and then I’d replace them. This year I decided to spend a little extra money on this one because I was getting frustrated by the difficulty in getting a lit smoker keep smoking throughout the session. This smoker fixes that problem and is worth the extra money. I think the secret is the improved airflow tube and the thick extra high plate inside the smoker. I haven’t seen these in other designs but it helps to keep the smoker lit. The heavier gauge steel seems to be holding up better as well. Recommended.
