Fox Searchlight Pictures 20th Anniversary Coll [Blu-ray]

I was lucky to find a seller selling this used but still in the shrink wrap. I don't know how I missed out on this when it was released in 2014 but buying a set like this is an important part of preserving real cinema. I am just so upset that Disney bought Fox and basically decimated Fox Searchlight Studios and stopped releasing new "Searchlight" films on physical media as well as discontinued all of the classic Fox Searchlight movies on bluray. This is the only way to get Sideways on bluray at a decent price among many others in the set. Anyway, pick up a copy while you can because these are 20 of the greatest films ever made and they are presented in a beautiful box set. Miss you 20th Century Fox :( You were the last great major film studio.

I haven't watched all the movies yet.Just wanted to say a few words about "28 Days Later".I didn't care for the movie, but that's just my taste.I do want to let you know that the picture quality is that of a very bad DVD transfer.I was forced to give a star rating but I haven't seen all the movies yet, so I just put it in the middle.More to come, maybe.Happy viewing.

Simply a great collection for the price. If you're like me and want to upgrade your DVDs to Blu-ray, here's a very inexpensive way to do it. The picture and sound are great and all the films include extras, some more than others, of course. You'd be hard pressed to beat this deal anywhere.

Excellent. Handsome packaging of important work being done by a major studio. Extra credit for the well-produced bonus disc outlining Fox Searchlight's history. Essential for any serious cinephile.

By far, the best collection of movies in a single package. The packaging is cohesive. The movies are excellent. And the price is justified.

I purchased this box set when it was on sale at 65,49$ and do not regret my purchase. All movies are great. For people interested in the french versions, please note that 4 movies: "Garden State", "Once", "Crazy Heart" and "Beasts of the Southern Wild" are only available in english.The only reason I did not give this box set 5 stars is the packaging. The slits for the movies are not that great and the pages unglued near the middle, setting loose 2 movies. It's a sturdy case which actually makes the pages hard to turn in the middle. Too bad, if it wasn't for the weird packaging, this box set would definitely be worth 5 stars. Still a great purchase for the quality of the movies.

I just got this collection today and opened up the first page. It came apart at the seams as my picture shows. However, the concept of having all the movies as individual discs is great! Overall, I’m glad I bought this set!

Discs didn’t work. Even bought a new player because I thought that was the issue. This made the worst gift ever.
