Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Permanent Hair Dye, 5RR Medium Vibrant Red Hair Color, Pack of 3

Company was willing to correct a shipping mistake quickly and promptly.5RR is a color I have been wearing for years and it is long lasting and does not damage my hair.

I have gotten so many compliments after coloring my hair deep velvet violet! It really is a beautiful color! On the box it looks purple but in reality it looks more of this reddish, brownish violet. I colored my hair a month ago and I wash my hair twice a week (it's long and very thick) and the color is still there, still just as beautiful. I started off with having blonde highlights over my natural medium brown hair, I colored my hair medium brown to even it all out and about a week and a half later colored it with this color. The only downside is that it's very hard to capture the color on pictures. It looks like a very rich brown with a hint of violet on pictures. In the sun it really stands out and you can see a beautiful, rich, dark violet color with a hint of red. Indoors it looks like a rich dark brown with some violet in it.PS - I have tried the Vidal Sassoon Salonist Darkest Intense Violet before and that one is not even close to this one. It didn't come out well, looked more brown and I didn't like that you color roots first then add serum and color the rest because what happened was my roots looked purple and the rest of my hair looked almost like it did before coloring, just a darker brown. So if anyone is wondering which Vidal Sassoon color is better, I definitely recommend the Pro Series one.

Works for me, I am absolutely enthralled with this hair coloring series, it is exactly what I've been looking for. So let me explain, I can see why some others may say it is not for them because it may not show up enough indoors or just under special lighting. That's why I love it, I don't actually want bright purple hair that people stare at, I'd much prefer the subtlety and demure quiet kind of attention. This while completely covering my grays turns my hair a dark dark purple and in the light you can detect how deliciously grape it is, therefore I can walk around with my purple hair and wear it like a woman wears sexy underwear, you don't get to show it off but it makes you feel good just knowing. Well it makes me feel good just knowing my hair is purple and I can prove it if I have to. So it's a win win for me I get to cover my grays and have my desired color. As for fading I notice with each washing it does get lighter, so I suggest not washing as often. For me by the time it starts to fade too much the grays are back anyway and time to reapply. Not drying for me. The conditioner it comes with works well.

I have been using this brand and color on my hair for several years and it's a good quality hair color. The color itself is very pretty, I do get a lot of compliments on it. The thing I love about red hair color is that it continues to fade into different shades of red that too are pretty. I tend to let my hair go for quite a while before I recolor it. I do it every eight weeks approximately. I do have some grays coming in mostly around my forehead line if it wasn't for that I could probably go longer. I've just recently had to stop buying it on Amazon because I couldn't find it in the stores anymore and it is a little bit more expensive but I still feel like it's worth it.

My wife is not naturally a redhead and if she ever sees this post I might not live to regret saying that. But she was never THIS red before. This is the second time that she has used this color and WOW. First let me say that she bought the first box at the store and then was not able to find it anywhere when it came time to reapply. So she ordered from here, and the only reason it's getting 4 instead of 5 stars is the price. But as to application, color and overall look it would have been a 5. She looks amazing in it. And that is where things go off the rails.My wife is a sweet and wonderful woman who always has a natural smile. Add to that the fact that she her body type is top heavy zoftig and covered in tattoos and you get a natural weirdo magnet. And now she has stunning long red hair and it's like a beacon for them. I see normal guys taking an extra glance all the time and who can blame them but there is something about this hair color that makes the creepy guys come crawling out from under a rock. I don't know what they think the red hair means to them but I have seen this behavior with my own two eyes. I'm not saying don't buy it but I would also suggest maybe a taser or at least some pepper spreay.

My absolute fave color and hair dye..its way too over priced on here vs what it cost in any stores but cant find a prettier,longer lasting red anywhere near as good as this one. I highly recommend item just would recommend u buy it elsewhere so price is fair. Is metallic but I've had no issue dying over it with another color of dye ever. Nor have I had to make sure my hair color was blonde before applying. It covered over both dark and medium browns and was still beautifully bright red.

I usually use London Lilac but for some reason the sellers here decided to raise the price well over 10 dollars so I decided to go with this one. Yes, it is about a shade darker but this is more purple than the Lilac shade. The other issue was that even though I have used that color over a year it fades super duper fast to a reddish color and seemed to fade faster the more I used it! Whereas Deep Violet is lasting pretty well. I did my hair three weeks ago and it has only faded a bit about two inches or so from the ends of my hair. The top of my hair is still holding strong. I only used my Overtone conditioner to freshen the ends today!I may go back to the Lilac some time but for now I will stick with this color!

If you want your hair very intense red, this is the dye for you! It’s a lot brighter in better lighting as well

This is a great quality hair dye, and I am so glad I took a risk in buying and trying it! I mixed in a little copper blonde to the bottle, to keep my hair staying a more natural-leaning red, but still bold enough to make me happy. This hair dye does not disappoint! Leaves my hair feeling healthy, and is really easy to rinse out. Colour lasts for a long time on my ends, but of course my roots don’t stay red too long (6-8 weeks) because of those ever-eager greys that are the reason I dye it in the first place! The conditioning components in this dye help to keep my hair healthy, and I know it will stay healthy despite colouring every 8 weeks or so. I highly recommend this awesome red colour!

Amazing color

Update 3 weeks after dyeing: I just attached an outdoor picture of my daughter's hair almost 3 weeks after dyeing. Hopefully, it helps to see how well the dye lasts. It still looks good. She used the recommended conditioners in the box to maintain her hair colour.Old Review: My daughter is happy with the colour runway red. The colour is a little shiny. My daughter and I have the same hair colour, so I put our hair side by side for you to get a before and after look. Our hair is brown.She soaked the ends of her hair for an hour in the dye, which is longer than the instructions state. She didn't bleach her hair or anything. We are not at all experienced in doing this, but it turned out well following the paper insert instructions in the box on our first attempt.
