At first, I was just looking for a cream that would treat/improve bug bites (maybe something like Cortizone?). It's been a few years since I badly needed something similar but when I started a position at work where I only work outside at night, turns out my legs are a super delicious meal for the mosquitos and even though I could kill 50 mosquitos a night, they keep returning and I can't stop them all. Once they get my legs, the itching is neverending. It gets so bad, my co-workers and manager even feel itchy looking at me itch myself.I DIDN'T KNOW HOW MUCH I NEEDED THIS ITCH CREAM UNTIL I PURCHASED IT.I've been using it for two months so far and oh my goth, it's INSTANT relief. On top of that, it's an easy-to-apply clear gel that dries up within a few minutes so I don't have to continue exposing my skin, for fear of the gel clinging to my clothes when I roll the sleeves down.I also recently went to an outside festival and ended up getting a slight sunburn, which hardly ever occurs for me. The sunburn didn't hurt at first, since it appears more like a tan, but then I started slightly itching it until the scratching increased and it started feeling like a burning, stinging, itchy sensation. Since I hardly receive sunburns, I couldn't think of anything at home that would help (If I don't own sunscreen, I probably wouldn't have anything to help sunburns either). This itch cream immediately went to mind and once I put it on, the burning/stinging/itchy sensation instantly disappeared.A cooling, instant-relieving product that dries up quickly and is fairly inexpensive? HECK YEAH I'LL BUY THIS AGAIN!The only CON I have with this product is the squirt function/container. Unlike other general tubes where the cream is squeezed out, this Benadryl Anti-Itch Cream LEAKS out the tube when you open it. So if the tube/container is upright or if the cap is not securely snapped shut, the gel drips out of the tube/container like a leaking faucet so it's a little annoying to put on certain hard-to-reach areas because I have to lather it on my hands first before I can apply it to someplace like my back.Otherwise, I'm very happy with this product.

Works well. Not too greasy

Even if there are no bugs, this is a must-have in any medicine cabinet. While the furnace was still on this March, the air in the apartment got very dry. I found myself scratching my arm while trying to go to sleep. I went into my stash of moisturizers of all kinds. Fortunately, I still had a tube of Benadryl left over from last summer. I like the clear liquid version. It goes on smoothly, drys quickly and gave me immediate relief so I could go to sleep.

DO NOT use on sensitive skin (e.g., face). This has a high alcohol content, and it caused redness and and a burning sensation on my already upset skin. Might work fine on less sensitive areas.
