I purchased this for a friend who is a first-time grandma to welcome her to the greatest club on earth! I loved this book and wish I ordered one for myself as well. It's jam-packed with stories, games, suggestions, and wonderful recipes which grandma and grandchild can make together when the grandchild is older. This book is a keeper.Recommend this book not only to recent grandmothers, but to seasoned ones as well; it's a compendium of fun activities to do with your latest additions to the family. Childhood goes by so quickly and this book will enrich the experience of bonding with your newest little treasure. I recommend this for women with grandchildren from 1-month to 10 years old. It makes a great gift for a baby shower. Grandmas need love too!

I bought this for my new grandson's "other" grandmother. She was delighted with it. I looked through it after it arrived and before I gave it to her and decided that I'll need to get one for myself. Lot's of games, crafts and especially nursery rhymes and stories. A real treasure for us oldie but goodie grans.

I got this as a gift for my son's girlfriend who is soon to be a grandmother. I had to look at every page myself, first. She is absolutely thrilled with receiving it and said it made it all very real, and that she could now imagine herself with a young one sitting on her lap while she read the cute and traditional stories, and sing the songs. A winner!

This book can be used as entertainment as well as a learning tool for a youngster to interact with their Grandmother & Grandmother can be sure she's helping him to be more skilled with his "chatter" in the future. Reading to a child is always a plus & it even offers some recipees so that you can bake "together" as well. And, then, of course, eat & enjoy those cookies together!

I GOT THE BOOK FOR A FRIEND OF MINE AND WHEN I SAW IT, I KNEW I NEEDED ONE FOR MYSELF! I DON'T WANT TO WAIT FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO BUY IT FOR ME SO I AM ORDERING ONE AND IF SOMEONE WANTS TO GIVE IT TO ME FOR MY BIRTHDAY OR CHRISTMAS, I WILL HAVE IT HANDY.

I bought this book as a birthday gift for my girlfriend who is looking forward to her first grandchild and she loved it. The cover of the book is different than pictured, but the book is in excellent shape for being previously used. I would order from this vendor again.

It is a lovely book but isn't a quick read as you get such a lot for your money.There are dozens of gorgeous picture and heaps of recipes culled from various sources. All tried and tested, but they come with American measurements, so some translation is required. That should not be beyond the wit of the average resourceful UK Grandmother.Here are the nursery rhymes, fairy tales, and childhood games that we all think we remember. This refreshes those memories and then adds more.You will never be stumped for something to do with the kids when you have this book.Childhood reminisces touching and funny are included, and give insights into the authors. One in particular tells about having gold jewellery sewn into the hem of her clothes by her Chinese Grandmother before leaving for America aged 5. She didn't she see her Grandmother for another eight years until she came to live with them in the USA, sharing her bedroom for a very happy eight years. She was a wonderful Grandmother during those eight years, leaving memories that cascade down the years, and very much missed by her large family when she died.Something for everyone.Unlike a number of books of this ilk, this one will last for a very long time as there is a huge amount of content. It is truly the little big book, so curl up with a cup of tea, a big slice of home baked cake, read, digest and enjoy.

Very nice quality hardback book with very interesting content and a great deal of it.

I sent this little volume to my cousin who recently earned the title of Grandmother! While I can not, personally, vouch for the product I am thrilled to report that the recipient was, as they say, "over the moon" with her gift and commented that she loves it so much because it reminds her of the favourite books of her childhood....recommendation enough, I would think!

2nd hand & smelly...….. still waiting for my refund for over a month. I have heard NOTHING!!! I DONT WANT TO GIVE ANY STAR RATING!!!!
