These planters are even more beautiful in person. They are also very well made and very sturdy.

Inexcusably poor quality chains. I spent 30 minutes on preparing the basket wiith plants and soil. When I went to hang the first one (which still had mostly dry soil) one of the chains snapped which then caused a cascading effect and the other two broke. Plants destroyed. I took some of the remaining chain and pulled to see how strong it was and it was probably 10 or 12 lbs of pressure when it broke. It's not hard to calculate the weight of soil in a container based on cubic inches and it seems they didn't bother to factor in what it was actually designed to do. If the basket was wet (you know, because plants get watered) the chains wouldn't stand a chance. Never mind wind, etc. I ordered 8. Checked the chain on another to make sure it wasn't an anomaly. It wasn't. I'm going to keep them anyway because I don't have a choice - I already planted. I'll just go to HD and get new chains to attach. But this is an inexcusably bad design flaw. If you intend to hang the basket I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

I absolutely love my hanging baskets for my ferns! They look aoooo much better than the plastic ones the ferns come in and they are wider so they allow the fern to stretch out and grow! I get so many compliments on them. Great heavy duty metal too.

I changed out the chains, did not trust them, but the frame is great.

bigest peace of crap I have ever purchased from amazon. Put a few small plants in it that I raised in a greenhouse for several months and the chains started breaking, Alot of time and money. Several months to get plants big enough to put in planters. still a small weight. Once potted in the basket that I purchesd,I was proud of all my work.then they started falling crushing my plants I had worked on for months. Lost five out of eight baskets beining crushed when they fell. The weight was very light with the perllite material that was used. I am so pissed I dont know what to say.

Really like how sturdy the basket is on this planter. Unfortunately I could only give 4 stars as one of the hanging chains was broken. I have planned on replacing those with a heavier chain in order to hold the weight of my staghorn fern that will hang in the basket.

The baskets are beautiful and seem like they will last forever. However, because they are heavy, once your dirt and flowers are in them the chains do not hold the baskets once hung. I ordered two and both of them broke and dumped my flowers when I tried to hang. They are now sitting on a table.

First I would like to say that all the people claiming this is a really heavy item obviously never owned one that is actually heavy. This planter is not that heavy. The bands however are reasonably thick and make the planter fairly strong. They also give it a nice appearance in my opinion. The mat liner is really cheap and barely came close to the top edge. After loading it with dirt and plants I was moving it when the chain broke and the basket flipped over and all my plants and dirt fell to the ground. I hope that I saved the plants as I had to repot everything and am now left with the task of replacing the chains. Not happy. Bob S.
