Surprising... & I'm pleased to elaborate on that!
Overall, my first impression of the Hamilton Beach Brew Station didn't send me over the moon. The heating element got a charred spot during the very first use - like in a restaurant, when an *almost* empty coffee pot sits on the warmer plate until the remaining liquid keeps cooking down until it becomes a solid layer of something resembling creosote baked onto the bottom. In my photo, it doesn't look as dark - thanks to the flash 🤦🏼♀️The coffee this machine makes is quite good, but water always remains on top of the grounds in the filter basket - even HOURS after you brewed it. That means you must place something underneath when you take it to the sink to let it finish draining, or to the garbage can to dump it out - otherwise, you'll leave a trail of coffee. If you have a tendency to get lost in your kitchen easily, I suppose this *could* come in handy... I don't know. But THEN there's the Iced Coffee feature. It's worth the entire cost of the machine, in my honest opinion! You can put a tray of ice (+/-, depending on the size of the cubes, size of the tray, etc) directly into the holding tank, which means the water gets pumped from the reservoir, through the coffee in the filter basket, and right onto ICE! No need for adding a ton of ice to your HOT coffee once it's been brewed, or guessing how much sugar/sweetener, creamer, & whatever else you prefer in your Joe... only to find that you've gotten it so watered down, or too sweet, or white as a sheet, & it doesn't even look OR taste like java anymore! You DO have brewing options, which is nice: brewing just 1-4 cups, brewing regular strength coffee or BOLD coffee, and lastly, the aforementioned (FABULOUS!) Iced Coffee feature. It does allow you to dispense your coffee a cup at a time - but it's not a freshly-brewed cup, as one might be led to believe by the description. It's still sitting there being heated until it shuts off (automatically or manually). You can set the warmer for zero hours, or to power down after 2 hours, 3 hours, or 4 hours. All in all, it's definitely not causing me to experience buyer's remorse or anything. I wouldn't have it anymore if that were the case. I bought a (separate) single cup Brewer within a couple days of this purchase, and it's no longer here. It smelled AND tasted like freshly brewed plastic, even though I ran plain water through it the first time... & it was no better on the sixth cup. 🤢In case someone is going to look at my first & last statements to decide for or against this item, I will say that it makes me quite happy. I hope that you find what makes YOU happy!

Stylish, easy to use, perfect cup of coffee
Best coffee maker I've owned, if course not expert though.I've owned a few regular drip machines with the carafe and one keurig, the basic model that you can get at Walmart for $59. I loved that the keurig made my. Coffee right then and there when I wanted, AFTER it healed up and I refilled the water if it needed it. And I couldn't really. Choose the strength of the coffee without sacrificing. Size of my cup. I'm sire other models are different but I don't want to spend over $50 on a coffee maker so that was pushing it plus the pods are Expensive compared to bying it ground by the poundI absolutely love this machine though. Yes, there's a few minor annoyance, like any machine. Really it's just that I have the thing under my counter so to lift the lid all the way to clean or fill it up I have to pull it out from under. That doesn't really bother me at all though. That's really it for coma on it in my opinion though. It looks stylish. I love that the water tank comes out to fill, I love that the coffee reservoir has a basket. Handle to make it easier. To clean, I love how simple it is to work and program. I love that my coffee is waiting for me in the morning, no matter what. It comes out cooler than the keurig did but it's the perfect tempature in my opinion. I little hot at first but that's good. I read some reviews complaining about filling thick or large mugs? I haven't had am issues and I have some ridiculous mugs, some of which are LARGE..... And thick.. HahaSo I don't think you have to worry. The drip trays a little small, but it does its job. It's also really awesome that there's an iced. Coffee feature. I worked at a Dublin donuts in high school so I know it's not made the Dr way and K love that this machine is able to make iced coffee. It really is so so. Please bjt stylish, and it does its job perfectly. Overall its the best machine I've ever owned or have seem put of friends and familys. I highly recommend!
