PILOT Iroshizuku Bottled Fountain Pen Ink, Shin-Ryoku, Forest Green (Dark Green) 50ml Bottle (69214)

Yama-Budo is my favorite ink. I have used it with fine nibs and broads and it looks great no matter the line width. It is a great purple color that leans towards to the dark pink redish side of things. It flows extremely well and is the best behaved ink I have ever tried.

Yama-budo does not shade as much as the blue and green inks in this line, but it does dry an incredible plum-red that is distinctive and classy. Bleeds a bit on very cheap paper, but barely so with a fine/extra fine nib.

Very nice tone of blue

The box came nicely protected with bubble wrap, but properly and perfectly sealed against drops or potential disgruntled carriers. It’s authentic, I have several other Pilot ink variations within my collection and they have tried to, possibly unintentionally perhaps a return, sent me something other than what a pen enthusiast seeks. Love the sheen!!!

I'm using this ink for writing in my fountain pen, and for drawing with nibs or thin brushes. It's a beautiful shade of green, and like all the other colors from this line, works beautifully in all applications.

The Tsutsuji / Azalea (Dark Pink), along with the famous near-universally loved Kon Peki blue, were the two best stunners in the six colors in this Pilot Iroshizuku range I've bought so far.The Tsutsuji is a dark, jewel-like pink that stands out on the page.I was thinking it might be too light and without enough contrast, but while not exactly day glo, it's in the neighborhood of the "hot pink" I was hoping for for certain uses, and I'm very pleased with it in person.One thing to note about all the Pilot Iroshizuku inks is that they're lubricated, which means they help with the inner workings of fountain pens, especially valuable if you have one with a piston mechanism like on my Omas Parago in the famous Arco finish.I was very happy with most all of my previous Noodler's inks, but the only ones that are lubricated are in the Eel and Polar series, which doesn't offer the widest array of colors. The Pilot Iroshizuku series fills that void for me, and is quit similar (for instance the Pilot Yama Budo is a good equivalent to Noodler's Cactus Fruit, though that too is one of Noodler's lubricated Eel series inks, so either one.The Pilot Iroshizuku bottle is also gorgeous, like a perfume bottle, and intelligently has a thick glass base with an indentation in the bottom like an upside-down teardrop, so you can still fill your pen in this indentation even when there's only a little ink left.If you want a "hot pink" that's easily legible (even for my 60 year old eyes), this is a beauty.Of all the Iroshizuku inks I can see myself buying the Kon Peki blue and the Tsutsuji dark pink over and over, while others have more limited value for me.Noodler's turquoise inks (one is in the Eel series, the other isn't) are also real keepers, and near equivalents to the Tsutsuji Kon Peki blue.Highly recommended.

Just refilled my Pilot Metropolitan with this Ink. The ink writes very well. My pen feels even smoother than the earlier ink. Love the ink . Highly recommend.

There are many good inks, some not so good and some that are superb.This is the latter.Firstly, the quality. As you creep up the fountain pen quality you start to see what a real writing instrument can do. That is not to say you have to have a great pen to appreciate this, no this ink performs well full stop. As you start using great quality pens however (and I don't mean expensive) you notice that ink can make a very noticeable difference to your handwriting.You wouldn't put supermarket fuel in a sports car, and you really shouldn't use poor quality ink in your pride and joy fountain pen. Well you can, but why would you?The flow of this ink is sublime, and this ensures a steady predictable flow as you write. You really can't get much higher quality and there would be no need; this ink will give superb results time and time again. Compatible as far as I am aware with all types of pen with all types of filling method.I could be wrong, but I have used this with Pilot, Pelikan, Parker, Lamy, Waterman, Conklin, Graf von Faber Castell, Scheaffer, Cross, Swan and even Mont Blanc (ew). Yes I dislike Mont Blanc intensely in all it's incarnations but that's a different story...This ink is the business.Colour wise, it is a wonderful deep shade that really stands out from the usual suspects (Waterman/Quink etc) and definitely has a premium look. I also really like the Bamboo Charcoal black in this range too, if you can find it. It can be a pig to get sometimes.I would give this 10 stars if I could, a great line with some superb colours. I also really like the Ina-ho Rice Ear too, for something quite unique.Enjoy!

This ink is just beautiful, it's the only blue that I'm happy to use. The packaging protected it well and it arrived safely.The only problem I had was that it arrived nearly three weeks after the estimated date, but when I contacted the company they replied quickly and the service was excellent. I knew it would take a while ordering from Japan and I was prepared to be patient, so I'm not marking them down for that, just be aware that if you order it might take a while.Also got a free teabag and elephant paperclip, which makes my simple mind extremely happy too! Would definitely order from this company again based on product, price, and customer service.

I have to admit that my go to Blue Black at the moment is the extremely lovely Diamine BB, which is really effective through all my F and EF nibs. It's saturated, super lubricated and shades beautifully. I saw the Tsuki-Yo and had to buy it at the price offered here on Amazon by Santa in Japan, and I'm glad I did.Don't be misled by translation of 'Moonlight Turquoise' - it's not turquoise - Pilot Tsuki-yo is a beautiful blue black with a hint of turquoise that, through my fine nibbed pens has a lovely greyish green tint to it that is midway between the Diamine BB and a blue that leans towards turquoise slightly, (Diamines Majestic Blue being a case in point).I've just dipped five different fine nibbed pens, and (sad face) unlike my other Irishozuku inks, I can't get it to shade, but the upside is it hardly feathers even on the cheapest papers (T*sco squared notepad being the lightest I tried).And the more I look at it in natural light, the more it resembles Sailors Sei-Boku in colour - just a few shades darker, especially on cream paper, and that can't be a bad thing.It gives a nice crisp line to my script, and it's very satisfying to use, it dries quickly and shows no fading after 48 hours on the windowledge in bright sun.Although it performs well through fine nibs, I know Tsuki-Yo would be stunning through M and B nibs (especially a stub) as this the extra flow would really show this ink off at it's best. I have one B nibbed jinhao that I use purely for comparison purposes and Tsuki-Yo through that is a truly gorgeous blue black without any hint of grey/green, I wish my handwriting fitted fatter nibs, but hey ho.The bottle is beautiful also, with its trademark crystal glass and internal indentation for the nib, and I always smile at that silver grey cord...very classy.Am I pleased with this purchase? Absolutely, this is a nice addition to my collection and an ink that could be used for both personal or business use. Buy it with confidence, it really is that good.Hope this helped.

I took advantage of a drop in import price to try this brand of inks, so hard to get hold of in the UK. I thought Ku Jaku, or Peacock Green would be the best colour to try as it fills a gap in my inks that I've been trying to fill by mixing others. I have to say, this was a fortuitous purchase. The colour is stunning, and the quality is top. This is now one of my favourite inks of any hue. It's a dark turquoise, really, which makes it very useful - more character than a blue, but not way out enough to warrant any disapprobation. Everyone who has seen it or written with it has managed about two or three words before stopping and saying 'wow'. Great depth, great shading, great hue. If it becomes available again under £20, don't hesitate.

I bought this ink from JapanPremium, delivery took about 3 weeks but as this came straight from Japan for very reasonable postage costs I did not mind, it was certainly dispatched very quickly - within a few hours.I love this ink. Predominantly used in a Lamy 2000 medium and it is a good combination. As other reviewers have mentioned it is a very distinct brown. Dark and saturated it screams class and has rapidly replaced Noodler's 54th Massachusetts as my favourite work ink. I never thought I would find a brown that is work appropriate.The flow is great, like all Iroshizuku inks, and there is a touch of shading but not too much to distract. I have experienced a little nib creep if the pen has been pocketed for a while, that sai, it is a very easy ink to clean up and washes off skin very easily.For those who have yet to experience the joy that is having an Iroshizuku bottle on your desk I can only advise that you buy at least one of the line up immediately. They are very impressive in real-life, photos do not do them justice. It would almost be worth having one for ornamental reasons alone so the fact that the ink is fantastic too makes this actually good value. Ok, I may be justifying another bottle but I really am that pleased with it.
