Dye remover
I had a pair of white shorts that accidentally got thrown in the wash with a shirt my son had tye dyed. This Rit remover turned my now pink splotched shorts back to the original white. I was so excited. Works like a charm!!

Does the job!!!
My daughter washed her clothes and the red dress ran on the load. She was devastated when everything was ruined. This RIT helped so much. I was chap so I only bought one box ( really it’s one box per item) I only washed the jeans according to instructions with it. You can see the picture it really worked. The shirt on the left was white and on the right was gray. The jeans were as red as those. You can see a bit of the red remains but no where as bad as before. Great work!

Removes dye
I was surprised how much dye it removed and how quickly. But be careful, it smells really bad. You need to rinse a lot and then hang it outside until the small dissipates. Also use gloves.

Wowza!
Holy smokes. I wish I would’ve taken a before/after. In early 2022 I had a pair of cream-colored pants in a suitcase returning from Hawaii. I have now idea how it happened, but something in my suitcase transferred on the pants and left pinkish leaf patterns. Still confused to this day because I couldn’t match the pattern to any of my other cloths. At any rate, washed them, Zouted them, you name it. These pink palm leaf patterns were FO LIFE. I though it was hopeless but I didn’t get rid of the pants and even considered dying them black. While researching RIT black dye I came across the color remover and decided to give it a go. One round in the wash and the seemingly permanent color was gone!! I wish I would’ve known sooner because these pants don’t fit anymore 😆 So now I have a new mission…

the smell stayed in my house for hours
I didn't realize how toxic this product was when I ordered it. The instructions say: "Avoid breathing in powder. Use with adequate ventilation." I had the kitchen window open and hours later I can still smell it. Also, the instructions say: "Using rubber gloves, rinse fabric in warm water." The active ingredients are sodium hydrosulfite and sodium carbonate anhydrous. The box says: "Contact May Cause Permanent Eye Damage," and "If swallowed, call a poison control center or doctor immediately." You have to stir the color remover in almost boiling water with the fabric you want to use, with vapor rising the whole time. The only good thing is that it did work, but I will NEVER use this product again.

Very Effective
The dye remover worked perfectly! My T-shirt that turned pink from red dye transfer is now white again without any damages.

Got the pink out of my favorite dress
I submerged some of my (pink turned) white clothes into the washing machine with hot water and let it soak for about 30ish minutes (TWO PACKAGES, I don't think it would have worked with one). My favorite dress was back to normal as well as a couple of other pieces of clothing. One of my tank tops turned a little yellow but overall it was a success!
