Despite slightly misleading description of the physical flashcards it is just a book with words assigned and grouped, very well organized in my opinion, each has a number to refer, HSK level it belongs to, transcription and the meaning, all you really need, useful in drilling the vocabulary for your HSK. Do not recommended this book for complete beginners as it might confuse you slightly.

Deserves zero stars. Returned immediately. Every page is laid out wrong so that the Chinese and English Do not match. Unusable as flash cards.

I was expecting larger cards, on stiffer stock. The product description does not mention that these are Simplified Chinese character, which may not be what you want in a Taiwan-focused course.

I studied Mandarin with traditional characters and wanted to improve my simplified character reading. The flash cards are printed as two columns of 10 characters in simplified on the front of each page with the corresponding definitions on the back of each page for you to cut out. Unfortunately this was published with the definitions for the right column switched to the left column and vise versa, mixing up the meanings for all 5,000 vocabulary words. I believe it is printed on demand as it only had a print date and no other information in the book jacket. ***AMAZON, PLEASE STOP SELLING THIS BOOK UNTIL THE ERROR IS CORRECTED. *** Disappointing but kind of funny too, oh well.
