Excellent Solution For A Difficult Space
I’m glad I bought this, even though the installation instructions are worthless. Fortunately the parts are easy to figure out. There was more than enough heavy duty cord. I had to cut off quite a bit, and the extra cord can be used for other projects. There is a piece included that is not shown in a diagram, or even mentioned in the written instructions, but I finally figured it out. Basically you will have to figure it out. The instructions will not help. The diagram does not show how to use the part that cinches together the two loose ends. Each end goes in one side, facing each other. Both ends are then twisted in a little ratchet device that closes the “loop” and tightens the cord. This is very sturdy, and I’m thrilled with the quality.

Top Quality Clothes Line
Admittedly, we haven't used a clothes line in years! However, in an effort to save some money on electricity and (in part) out of a sense of nostalgia, decided to purchase this clothes line kit. We absolutely love it! It looks great (we bought the mocha), and the quality of the kit itself is evident right out of the box. It would be super easy to install (it is), except we put ours up higher than most probably will. It looks great, functions great, and we will probably buy the elevator to go with it. Looking for a clothes line? Look no further!!!

Very durable clothesline system
I have had clotheslines my entire married life of over 34 + years. It seems like about every other year and sometimes every year we are scrambling to put up new clothesline. Usually the cord used wears out or just plain doesn't hold up. I finally found the strata system and decided why not? Well worth the investment. The kit comes with 150' of line, 2 pulleys and 1 spacer. I have about a 40' run between my posts so I can only get 1 run with this kit.( I have 3 lines.) I actually bought 2 kits and then purchased everything else separate for the 3rd line. I love the ease and convenience of hanging my clothes. I am not constantly dragging the basket along with me to get it all up. With my 3 lines I can put a lot of stuff on there. Now here is the crucial part. THE SPACERS ARE KEY!!! Like I stated before, the kit only comes with 1 but for my needs, I need at least 5-6 per line. 1 spacer will not cut it. They are roughly $12 per 2 but do not skimp out on these or the hanging experience will not be pleasant. As you can see in my photos I use 1 spacer about every 4 ft. or so. Again, SPACERS ARE KEY!!! Also, I purchased the little metal clothespins....and threw out all my old soggy wooden ones that leave marks on the clothes and break and don't always hold. Best decision I've made. They come in about 80 per pack and I bought 3 packs. I don't like to run short. One review said these get tangled in the bag like a puzzle but that is just not true. I have had zero issues with that so far. Now I've only had this system up and going now for about a month but I already don't dread going out to hang my clothes. Also it gets really windy where I live in Indiana and I have yet to have anything fall off the line. Overall I really can't say enough about this system. I love it and hope it continues to work well for me. As long as I don't snag it with the top of the Kabota when I mow I'm good...lol.

Like everything but the mounting lag hooks.
Easy to install and works well but the 1/4" mounting lag hooks are not strong enough. Ours straightened out and the line fell to the ground wash and all. I went out and purchased 3/8" thick lag hooks and hopefully that works.

Works
Solid, and strong. Recommend buying a few spacers to make better fit for when hanging laundry.

Excellent quality made with durable parts.
I love my new Strata clothesline! We mounted one pulley at the edge of our deck on a post that we installed. The other pulley is mounted high up the trunk of a large tree at the edge of the woods. The clothesline stretches across our yard a little over 60 feet and is ten feet off the ground. I only have to take a few steps out the back door to hang the clothes and because it is so high off of the ground it is out of the way. I purchased two more spacers to go along with the one that came with the kit. Start with placing one spacer on the lines before you start hanging and the one every ten feet or so to keep the line from sagging. You will need to tighten the line with the winch tightener after the first few uses as the line will stretch a bit when first set up. The kit comes with 150 feet of wire so you could go longer then the sixty feet that we did. I am so happy with the whole set up, it is almost fun doing the laundry!

Life changing!
This was so easy to put up and it works so well! Absolutely love it. We can get 3 LARGE loads of laundry on it. Definitely recommend getting more tension rods for it though, 1 wasn't enough.Very lightweight, yet it holds a TON!But it works easy, very weather resistant and just as they advertise. It has saved me a ton of time and money since giving up our clothes dryer. You need one of these in your life if you use a clothesline!

So far, it's terrific!
I don't take time to write many reviews, but I am for this thing. It's GREAT. We're out in the country and for years had the typical nylon clothesline - about 50' long - that sagged all the time and finally broke. Researched and bought this kit. Have only had it for a couple of weeks but it makes all the difference in the world. It's VERY easy to install, was able to easily do it by myself in less than 30 minutes. I did have to buy a clothesline bolt at the hardware store to go thru the metal pole we have on one end. (The kit comes with screw-type bolts to screw into trees or wood). While using the winch to connect the two ends isn't super simple, it's also not super hard. Have a pair of pliers handy to help really tighten all the way up. The little tensioner dolly you can place anywhere on the line to keep it from sagging is a great idea. Just love this and absolutely recommend it. Good quality.
