I've been hesitant to try an unknown brand of sunscreen on my holiday in Cyprus in August, as I burn very easily (even in the UK). But I decided to give it a go, thanks to the fantastically simple ingredients list - all natural stuff and physical block. Also, I hate reapplying sunscreen, but nobody promised that being eco-friendly is easy.Bottom line - this sunscreen works. For the first time in a long while I haven't burned thanks to consistent re-applying - between 1 and 3 hours depending on sun intensity, amount of swimming and towelling.It does leave a white cast that doesn't really absorb, but for someone like me it's a blessing in disguise - I can easily see if I missed any areas. And if the cast does disappear, it really is the time to reapply!It has a bit of a smell, which is distinct, but not unpleasant. And thanks to the oils and beeswax in the ingredients list, it acts as a moisturiser too. I could even manage reapplying without washing off the salt after swimming in the sea.All in all, I'm very happy I've tried this and can confirm it works. I have now found a sunscreen that is safe not only for me and provides decent protection from the sun, but it is also safe for the environment.

Let's not beat around the bush, if you go for non-nano mineral sunscreens (which you should), there will be a slight white sheen to your skin (especially when seen in direct sunlight) which some might find unattractive, but hey you're doing this for your health, right? Personally, I would rather look a little white-ish (it's honestly not that bad, but better put it out there than to say "there's no white look") than put toxic crap on my skin.So does it work? Absolutely! It goes on super easy and feels great on the skin. If you sweat a lot, it will 'settle' a little in skin creases but you can easily smoothe those areas out. For this reason, and the comedogenic nature of coconut oil (not the best for acne prone skin), I don't use it on my face (I use a cream from AlumierMD for that), but for everything else, it's perfect.

One can't possibly comment on it's 'safe' long term use , since it's un-proven track record is a gamble ! But I've committed myself now & can only trust the research that has gone into it's formulation ! The product itself is virtually odourless , containing no undesirable additives , very pure & dependent on it's storage temperature , relatively easy to apply ! The asking price is high , but a little seems to go a long way , so this could well be a very sound investment !

I bought this vegan sun screen with the hopes of avoiding chemicals from the branded sunscreens, I found that even if I left the tub in a warm area to soften the contents it was still very difficult to spread it on my palms, after much sweating & difficulty I managed to apply it to my skin..It is difficult to spread, it left my skin quite chalky (I am a dark skinned woman) I can not use this cream to step out in public as the chalkiness is to obvious, defeated the purpose really, disappointed in the product.

This sun cream has exceeded all my expectations. I have Sjogren's Syndrome and as such I am very sensitive to the sun and my skin over-reacts to light. However, since using this cream, I have found that my skin has really settled down. I now use it everyday. It isn't a soft cream, but the warmth from your finger tips soon softens the cream and it goes on pretty easily. Another bonus is that it really does go a long way.A single pot I'm sure, would last quite a few months. I don't often recommend things, but if like me you are sun-sensitive this might be the cream for you. It is not scented but has a really nice 'non-smell' and feels very luxurious. I would love it even more if the jar was made of glass instead of plastic.

I should have read the ingredients list first I guess, but I was so excited to try it . It has coconut oil as first ingredient, which is really bad acne prone skin. Just after 2 days skin on my face became very dry on my checks and I had a lot of breakouts. I am really sad, that this product isn't for me. It spreads nicely, but if you use too much you look like a pale goth girl. It worked ok on my hands and my chest, so it's not totally bad.

Very happy with this good quality product. I wanted a natural product with zinc oxide for my neck and decolletage now that it's starting to get sunny again. This is a solid cream that melts easily between your fingers and is easy to apply. It absorbs easily into the skin and can be used without applying makeup, but you can apply foundation on the top as well.Just what I was looking for so I'm happy.

Advertised as factor 40 but I found it more effective than some alleged factor 100 stuff I bought recently. Doesn't sting your eyes like regular sun screen. Stays on for ages. Looks ridiculous, like a mime artist! but then, sunburn also looks ridiculous and is very dangerous. So..............Great Stuff.
