Well Made
Waited to review until I had processed several batches, totaling 19 kilo (42 pounds approx). Grinding Top Side and Bacon for Hamburger meat. Starting with Semi Frozen meat, Froze the Grinder itself and ran it through the grinder twice (2nd largest size holes, as recommended in owners guide). I bought the stainless steel version and it is well made and secure and snug fitting to my Classic Kitchen Aid Mixer (only a couple years old). It came with 2 of the 4 blade cutters and one two blade cutter. It works really well and was concerned as it was not the Kitchen Aid brand, but took a chance because it was stainless steel. I am really happy I did. This product is first class. This product works as intended, but it is suited for home use, not heavy commercial use. The weakness is the Kitchen Aid mixer itself, it gets very hot on big batches and will strain and slow the motor. On first grinds, had to stop mid-batch to let the motor cool and take care not to push too much product through. Super for home but recommend a commercial grinder for large amounts of meat on a daily basis. One suggestion that I might eventually need is replacement blades, I don't see them available anywhere.

Exactly what I wanted
I have a 3/4 HP Legg Big Byte Grinder, and so I am very comfortable making sausages in large quantities. That being said pulling out all of my project gear for making a few quick pounds of meat is a total pain in the behind (Yes I know first world problems, but I do this as a hobby so I like having the right tools). This grinder is perfect for my intended task. I have a 600 Pro Series KitchenAid mixer I'm using to drive this. Assembly is easy and straightforward if you have used grinders before. If you haven't I suggest watching a video or two. The metal of the actual grinding tube is a little thin, but if you consider the actual KitchenAid product was plastic I will take thin all day. There is a key advantage to a metal grinder, are you can freeze it before grinding, where plastic wouldn't take and hold the cold. Again the light material mass of the metal grinder won't hold cold as long as heavier metal products on dedicated grinders, it's lightyears ahead of a plastic solution. As for cleaning, I found it to be no better or worse than any grinder, and the inclusion of a fitted brush is ahead of the other grinder that I ordered a kit for cleaning after the fact at an additional expense. The need to hand wash is fine, I only run my bigger stuff through the dishwasher for sanitation considerations, I fully clean the parts by hand first, and end with a spray sanitizer anyways. The included blades are good enough for most tasks, I don't feel the need to try to hunt down extra blades. I would suggest using a non-foot-controlled grinder to stuff casings as a challenging task, again for a few links it would be ok, but I wouldn't suggest attempting to do tons of cased meat with this tool. I actually use a purpose-built stuffer that is hand-driven for this task should I be making cased sausage. Lastly, my only quality concern is around the meat stuffing tool for pushing it down the throat of the grinder, the plastic is very light weight. If you get overly forceful in pressing the meat down it could collapse or break and it's custom fit to this grinder. In conclusion, this is a great ad hoc grinder for a few pounds of meat. Given the option, I wouldn't plan to grind more than a few pounds of meat with this, it is possible but I would not recommend it.Easy to deploy, and use, easy to clean up.

Easy to use and does the job
Not very easy to clean but was very easy to assemble and works great with my kitchenaid.Don’t forget to keep in freezer prior to using so meat doesn’t fall apart while grinding!

The REAL DEAL! All-stainless steel construction.
This is not the cheaper aluminum Kitoart grinder. This grinder is made of solid stainless steel -- the grinder body and auger alone weighs in at 1.35 kg with a grinder plate, knife, and the locking ring . . . about 10% heavier than the Gvode competitor which sells for about $50 less (I ordered both for comparison and chose to keep this one because of the weight difference). As an all-stainless steel item, it could run through your dishwasher after use, but it's easy enough to clean by hand. The removable food tray is also significantly larger than the integrated one on the original Kitchenaid model, which is a plus for small batch sausage making. The four included grinder plates are about 53mm diameter (#12 size) with "tabs," so additional standard sized plates can be purchased to use with this grinder attachment. They are larger in overall diameter than those that fit the original Kitchenaid grinder attachment (about 47mm) -- it would have been nice to have included one coarser grinding plate (10mm or 12mm) that would be in between the "kidney" plate and the "coarse" (7mm) plate included. My 15-year-old Kitchenaid grinder attachment made of plastic long ago cracked around the metal bushing near the base where the auger fits into the mixer, then completely broke apart a few days ago while grinding some chicken breasts and running some crushed ice to clear the last of the meat. So the timing of the sale was perfect. I purchased this with a $30 discount "coupon" which made it quite affordable. Looking forward to many years of use.
