When my OEM charger tip broke my kids life came crashing down in a ball of fire. My eight year old had to hold the charger in by hand to make the connection work or else the 2 year old would scream that she could not watch her movie. Spending a lot of time in the car this was not an option for us. I turned to Amazon and this charger seemed to have the compatibility fit I was looking for.With about 2 months of use, this charger has worked flawlessly and is still holding up. I read other comments where people mentioned they liked it better than the OEM charger. This one feels constructed well and does not give me any worries about a repeat breakage. I would definitely order again and recommend to others looking for a replacement charger.

I bought this for my son's van. The kids had broken the original cable. This one arrived in good condition. I checked it, and was extremely pleased at the quality. My son installed it in his van and reported that the DVD Player was fully operational. The cable has been in service several months now and it continues to perform flawlessly. If the kids ever break it again (which I'm sure they will) I'll order another one of these! I'm very happy with the purchase!

Years ago, we purchased a dual-screen 7" RCA portable DVD system for our car. Within a year, the screens just stopped working, so we decided to buy another system to replace the RCA - this time settling on a Panasonic. After a few months, I noticed that the adapter that came with the Panasonic was fraying near the voltage plug, so I decided to start shopping for a new plug. While shopping, the set stopped working. Just to be sure it was the plug and not the set, I used an old 12-volt adapter that plugs into a house outlet and found that it was, in fact, the car plug and not the set. With this in mind, I checked the old system that had stopped working (we saved it in case we could "fix it" later), and low and behold it worked!! It was just the car adapter for that set that was broken, too!That being the case, I found this item and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised at the LENGTH of it, as my VW has a voltage plug in the back and the front, and I figured at this length, I could hide the plug in the back and finally leave our front outlet open for other needs! I ordered two - one for both the old and the new player - and it works wonderfully! Now, my husband and I do not have to switch the DVD player from one car to the next when we are going on long trips, and I was able to run the plug through the split-seats of my VW and minimize the "tangle" that occurs when our boys get situated in the back seat!

Worked great as replacement to the original cables that came with our dual tvs in our truck... would buy again if I needed it!!

The charger arrived as promised. I had to play with it and finally got it to work however it will only show the picture on the 2nd unit but will not support audio for the 2nd unit. That is frustrating because we only have volume on one unit.

This item is 10x's better than the OEM power supply. Which is odd b/c the cigarette plug end looks to be absolutely identical, but that's where the similarities end. The wire used is much heavier duty, the Y portion is a few feet from the adapter which is nice, and it's reinforced for durability. Even the right angle plugs themselves are solid and make a nice snug fit into the receptacles on my players.This is what I would have expected from the manufacturer, not a 3rd party replacement unit. And that's a good thing. I was skeptical spending $15 on a cord for such a cheap set of DVD players. But this has brought them back to life and I'm certain this power supply will not fizz out as quickly as the original.

I got this as a replacement because the one that came with the screens broke after 3rd use. This seems to work fine, except only one of the screens plays the DVD, I am still trying to figure out if something is wrong with the screen, or if it has something to do with this adapter.Overall, for the price, I think it's pretty good value.

I had to replace this component of my dual 9 phillips player after the original was damaged. This is by far superior to the stock from the gauge to the smart design of merging the 2 lines a considerable distance prior to the car adapter, this especially makes a neater less cumbersome install when in use, I was always trying to tuck the stock wires out of the way when driving and trying to keep them free and clear of perpetually moving toddlers legs in the back!!! If any of this sounds familiar give these a try, an easy fix to some design flaws of the original products and less than 2o bucks, well worth it to the constant driver of the family.
