Found a cable fault !
This is my favourite new toy. It has already found two wiring errors in plugs and found a faulty cable, it has saved me loads of time. Very simple to use, even tells you which strand is causing a problem. I have tested it up to 50m so far, no issues.

Good tester and easy to use but breaks easily
I have had 2 of these now and they work very well and are easy to use. Unfortunately they do not last very long. My 1st tester lasted less than 6 months the 2nd was just over a year.
