Baxton StudioEntryway Bench, Espresso

I love it! It's a cute little entry way bench with cubbies and drawers. It took a long time to assemble. It was not difficult at all, just time-consuming. The only problem I ran into was (see photo) I first attached the drawer runners upside down. The photo shows the correct way, with the wheel toward the bottom, so the drawer can be put in. Even after assembling the whole thing, I was able to reach in, unscrew the ones I had placed wrong, and screw them in correctly. It was a simple fix. It's perfect for my front entryway and the kids' shoes.

This is a nice looking shoe storage & bench combo. There are a lot of parts for assembly and plan for 1-2 hours. The instructions could be a lot clearer with better images when you're not sure which part they really want assembled. If you have built any off the shelf item before, its not hard to figure out what it should look like during assembly. Shoe storage is small or meant to be stacked on top of each other. Overall very pleased with this!

Product came a bit damaged but was on inside board and did not compromise the sturdiness off product. Once assembled it’s beautiful!!!! One thing I want to point out is some pictures show boots in unit, the cubbies are small, heels need to be put in on sides so if you have expensive heels I wouldn’t recommend using cubbies. They are nice and deep and the drawers are useful.

I love it!! But took forever to build! The directions were confusing and had to take some parts apart and reassemble correctly (in the past while assembling similar items, the pictures would have shading on the ends that would indicate the front vs sides and back) and there is no way i could have built this with just a screwdriver as indicated; i had to use my power drill. but otherwise I am very pleased with the final product.

I'm a pretty positive reviewer overall, but this thing almost got a 2 star. I substracted one star because the shoe compartments are way too small. The wife can fit her flats in and my my toddler son can fit his shoes in there but that's it. Me and my 12 yr old son have no chance of fitting our sneakers in there unless we use one box for each shoe. I also took a star because of the poor instructions having part numbers being mislabeled. The overall fit and finish of the bench is good, my only complaint here is a point of attachment where it doesn't connect flush. I didn't take a point off here because I don't think anyone will notice the gap.

Overall this is not a bad little bench. Took a bit to put together (Not difficult, just lots of pieces). Fairly sturdy - I weight 215 and didn't feel any movement from the bench when I sat on it. I had no issues with packing/damage as all pieces were okay when unboxed. Drawer handles are cheap plastic, but easily replaced if need be. I can fit a pair of 13 men's shoes in a cubby if they are on their sides with no problem. Kids size 3 and women's size 6 shoes fit side by side nicely. Drawers don't line up exactly straight (never do on self-assembled furniture), but not terribly off. Finish is dark, almost black, but cushion is dark brown. Bottom line is this bench is exactly what I was expecting it to be - not heirloom furniture, but decent quality for the money.

The instructions for assembly are not very clear and confusing. The red color identity stamp on the side of the wooden planks / blocks is not readable. This resulted in assembly, disassembly and reassembly multiple times taking it more than 5 hours for overall assembly. The pictures used for the product are false advertising. The space given for shows is totally incorrect. Men's shoes and sneakers do not fit into the space given. I cannot return this item since it is fully assembled and it is a waste of money and effort for me. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Please do keep in mind yes it is not real wood but for the price it is great quality. Takes time to put together but it does have shelves and drawers you should expect that ! Love how nice it looks and it is sturdy.

Best thing you can get through amazon as a entryway bench!

I think it looks nice and elegant. A few things which bugged me about this was the fact that left and right side panels are deeper than the rest of the unit and my wall was just 40 inches. This means that a slight push on this unit and it will move as it does not touch the wall along its back.Also, like others have mentioned, the cubbies are not too big and therefore fitting adult sized shoes in them becomes difficult.
