Quality.
I have a dobok from Tiger claw that I purchased several years ago. It's quality is very good and extremely durable. I know Tigerclaw makes good stuff. I needed some more pants because I couldn't get my size in Macho anymore. Therefore, I went back to Tigerclaw. Today was my first day training while wearing them.I am 6 foot 3 inches tall.My jeans size is 36 inch waist 32 inch length. So, I ordered size 6 from Tigerclaw. The pants are primarily polyester. 80/20 polyester - cotton. Very comfortable.I trained hard today for 1.5hrs.Forms, calisthenics and bag work.My conclusion - the waist is fine. However, they are slightly to long. I had to turn up the legs so I wouldn't step on them. That being said, I really like them. I will order a couple more pairs soon and just take them to the taylor to have them altered. Their purchase price is so affordable and their quality is so good that I don't mind.

So far so good
I bought these so I'd have some real pants to wear to karate, instead of the black jogger pants I had. These will be good until I can purchase a full uniform from our training center. I'm 5'1, size 10-12, about 145 lbs, and bought a size 4. Right out of the package these things are awful. I hated the material! They were very stiff and slick and made a terrible swishing sound every time I moved. I almost just gave them to my daughter to use as a backup pair for her uniform. Then I remembered reading another review that said the cotton comes out after a washing. So if you have a problem adjusting to certain textures, give them a wash, and a second chance. They were much softer after a wash. I only tossed them in the dryer for a few minutes because I was afraid they'd shrink. But these were dry after like 5 minutes so I'd bet they also air dry quite quickly. A tiny bit tight in the waist and the butt for me, but that'll get better as I get myself in shape. Also the length is perfect. I'm short, and was afraid I'd need to hem these, but they are just right. Hit Right at the top of my feet, and the legs are roomy and loose, but not bulky. You'll want to keep a lint roller handy if you have pets, as these pants attract anything and everything. If there is a hair or a single speck of dust or fuzz around, these pants will attract it. But I'm pleased with them so far. I haven't tested them at class yet, but I feel confident they will do well. Very lightweight and comfortable enough to move around in. And they arrived 2 days sooner than expected. Over all a good starter set of Martial arts pants.

Taekwondo pants replacement
Purchased to replace some old pants for my growing teen in tae kwando. Size fits nice and is a pretty thick material.

and that's not cool. I'm giving the size 6 a shot and ...
I ordered these to have a few additional pants for training. My school originally issued me a size 6 (different brand) and those fit very well. They are a bit tight in the hip area, which I can tell during certain kicks or stretching. So, I decided to try a size 7 for some more room. For this particular brand, these were gigantic. I'm 6'2" and about 280lbs (more slender/muscular, than obese) and the legs covered my feet and then some. If I was wearing flippers, the legs of these pants might have actually covered them up, too. They fit well in the waist, but they're elastic, so you could probably fit into multiple sizes, measuring that way. But, for the legs, MUCH too long. I'm not doing the roll the waist over thing. I'd have to roll the waist 3 times to shorten the legs close to the length needed...but, then you're getting awful tight in the groin area...and that's not cool. I'm giving the size 6 a shot and hopefully they work. The black ones are black, the red ones are very red. Not blindly, but pretty bold in color.Obviously, I haven't trained in them...however; Material-wise, these seem to be very comfortable and light, yet still have that "snap." They feel more poly, than cotton (more like a nice rain jacket material, compared to a sweatshirt). But, they are still comfortable to wear and probably don't pick up and absorb every germ on the floor / wash well. If you're not concerned with matching textures, these would be fine. If you are, these aren't too close to the typical softer material of the Gi tops. Definitely seem quality.

Very good!
My local karate studio usually stocks a similar pair of pants made by Century, but they struggle to keep them in stock, so I wanted to try these out as they're cheaper than getting some directly from Century. These are very nice! I got a size 3 and they fit as expected, similar to the ones I got from my studio. The waistband is comfortable, the stitching seems sturdy, and I like the way the inside leg and crotch seam is made with the extra panel. It feels like it'll stand up to a lot of wear. Wore them last night and I'm about to buy another pair. They're lightweight-ish but do feel sturdy, not flimsy at all.

which is great for the summer
The existing reviews appear to be all over the place. Some complain the size is too small, others complain it's far too big. I don't see it.I've been a size 4 in standard keikogi for the past 35 years. I have worn multiple brands with varying results. These Tiger Claw shitabaki (uniform pants) are a spot-on size 4, which is usually measured according to the person's overall height. Waist sizes are going to vary, and if you're a bit heavier in the waist you may need to mix and match uwagi (jacket) and shitabaki (pants). These pants are made from very light weight poly-cotton canvas, which is great for the summer, but it may not stand up to years of abuse or washing. These are not Judo weight pants. Also, the gusset, in my opinion, is not as roomy as you might find in the ProForce Gladiators, or more traditional shitabaki. Someone complained that these are inappropriate for Tae Kwon Do, and I can see that they would be a bit restricting for styles that incorporate a lot of fancy high kicks. Some summer time ground work might also be hindered slightly. But, for a general purpose, lightweight and cheaper alternative to heavy canvas shitabaki these are definitely worth the price for styles that don't need the extra range of motion needed for kicking the ceiling lamps.
