Fishing Belt Shoulder Harness - Offshore Stand Up Fish Fighting Rod Holder

This harness helps you fight really big fish way better! It will help you fight and land fish that you would not be able to handle without it. Just be warned...If you are going to use the rod straps to connect the rod to the harness that is strapped on you, you need to have the harness tied to the boat and have a fixed blade knife on your hip! if you lose your balance, or a reel jams up, there is a very real chance that you end up in the water and pulled to your death. Great for giant tuna, grouper etc. just use your head if you attach a rod to yourself.

Appears to be good quality but, it arrived missing one strap.

Easy to use

The gear looks pretty solid and fits comfortably. However, there is too much play inside the rod holder. Had the opportunity to use them yesterday, we had to of them on the boat and in both cases we had the same issues. When fighting a big 90kg Big eye Tuna you cannot afford a rod moving around in the buckle, on numerous times the rod popped out the buckle because of the movement, my one friend actually took it of completely because you can’t concentrate when your rod keeps on jumping out. I would definitely recommend Gaffer to have a look at that patent.

It was to big not for someone 5'5"

The shoulder harness worked perfectly! It is comfortable, well put together and my body thanks me. I won’t be fishing offshore without one anytime soon.
