My cockatoo loves toys like these but for some reason she hasn't touched these, I purchased other similar toys at the same time and has already went through those but for some reason won't touch those, finally removed from cage, ( maybe have some chemical on them ) but can't verify that

It hooked my parrot underneath his chin and he strangled trying to free himself. While freeing himself the toy cut him in several places on his cheek and chest. He is in need of vet care to heal his wounds.He is a medium sized parrot and this was his favorite toy and now I’ll never give him anything of this brand. It is not safe. The description says nothing about the metal inside it.
