I viewed a lot of salt cellars before choosing this one. After a year and a half of using it, I still love it! The wood looks beautiful and is in perfect condition. I love that the lid is attached and easily slides sideways to open. I also love the little magnetic spoon, which stays put & will not get lost easily. My home has varying indoor temps. In winter, the heat is set at 71. We do not have A/C, so it can reach upper 70s-80F in the kitchen (fans and open windows are enough). This salt cellar has been happy in all seasons. I keep it next to my stove. Heat has not bothered it. It’s a perfect salt cellar for me and I’m very happy with my purchase. I keep Maldon sea salt flakes in mine. My husband has even commented several times about how much he enjoys using salt flakes from it while cooking.

Gave it as a White Elephant Holiday gift. Everyone wanted it, it was a hit. It’s beautiful, functional. The spoon is great.

This is my first salt cellar. Have to say I'm really glad I picked this one. It's really sturdy. The lid is attached in one spot so you rotate the lid to open it. Might be a challenge if your hands are covered in food but I'm a bit ocd about getting food in my salt.The spoon is great. Magnets into place but is easy to pop out. And I prefer having it to putting my fingers into the salt and getting salt under my nails.I like the wood the most. Feels like it's going to keep my salt in good condition.It would make a great gift.

This is my second purchase of these wonderful little cellars. I use them for salt but they can be used for any number of dry things. Think dried herbs. The lids slide easily and the spoon is carved out of the lid and have a small magnet in them which makes certain that the spoon doesn't get lost. These would easily make a lovely and thoughtful gift as well as a welcome and useful item for your countertop. They do not all match each other. They are as unique as the individual olive trees they are carved from, which makes them so much more interesting. Seriously, they are quite lovely!

I found myself searching through a number of products and putting off a purchase for some time. I'm glad I did because this salt cellar is fantastic. I wanted something that closed yet also that I can open with one hand (not have to separately hold a lid) and I wanted it to include a spoon so that sticky fingers didn't gunk up the salt. This product is fantastic. Love the artful grain of the olive wood and the magnetic closure for the lid as well as for holding the spoon!

This product works very well for holding salt. I especially like the spoon that is magnetically attached to distribute the salt. The wood is beautiful.

I did a lot of research prior to buying this salt mill. I knew I wanted olive wood and there were many choices on Amazon. I liked that this one has a built in spoon as many times I've needed a spoon of salt as opposed to just a pinch. The quality is great and it holds a good amount so you don't have to constantly refill it.

This salt cellar is huge and seems to be of very good quality. Spoon has a tine magnet that keeps it secure on the top of the lid. Six stars.
