Medline Ear Thermometer with Quick Probe Cover Release

My almost 20 year old Braun ear thermometer is dying a slow death. I replaced it with the Medline. It was very easy to operate out of he box. Very quick--I took my temperature almost with out knowing it--except for the fact that the thermometer was in my ear!The unit is good-acouple of comments. The directions aren't great. A learned more from playing around with it--fortunately it is fairly intuitive. There is one ring in the box that I don't know what to do with--but it didn't affect the operation. It comes with 100 covers--should last me while (if you have younger children buy extra--they always get lost). I am not sure if the covers will be easy to find locally. The covers fit very securely--the first time you have to play around with it to get it to snap in. I found it easier to click the top in and then click in the bottom--a little different than the Braun. I haven't learned the memory function yet but that isn't critical to me.

Never worked properly

It might cost a pretty penny but it's an essential tool to have when you have toddlers in the house and need a quick and accurate temp reading.

my GF's daughter is a nurse and requested a Tympanic Thermometer. this one was a great price and very good quality...
