A good manual but lacks trouble shooting procedures
The manual is a little confusing st times but very informative, I had a misfire and loss of acceleration problem and hoped I could find some troubleshooting procedures in the manual but not the case. Most of the information is the method by which you replace parts and step by step guide to do so. I had to find my acceleration symptoms on the internet, find the solution and then went to the manual on how to replace. A common problem with 1150's are coil sticks and throttle body syncing. The manual recommends you take your cycle to a repair shop for throttle syncing and never mentions how to trouble shoot coil sticks. Overall a good manual but do your research on the problem before you start replacing parts,

Low Quality Manual
Sadly after the first 16 pages and an small electrical section of nice white paper with contrasting title and drawing colors, the paper used for the bulk of the manual is not white easy to read paper but small print and pictures on what looks like leftover paper from the early 1900s Sears catalog. I'd return the manual but figure the Clymer's will be the same and I think it has good information so I'll just live with it.Update: Just purchased a Clymer manual, sharp print, pictures and clear organized instructions, buy the Clymer, not the Haynes manual.

Great for those who want to tear a Beemer down to the bone
This is the manual for those who like greasy, skinned knuckles. In other words home garage mechanics will find it invaluable. My only problem witrh it was that it didn't address the R1150 RTP ("P" for police) which is what I needed but if you have any "civilian" BMW, don't want to take your bike to the dealer and aren't afraid to do your own maintenance then buy this manual.

Great book, dislike softcover
Good book but disappointed that the description did not indicate it was a softcover book. All other Haynes I have had were hard cover which is better for the shop environment.

If you intend to work on your motorcycle, buy this manual.
This manual is detailed and includes photos and drawings. If you know Haynes, you know this manual is worth having on the shelf in your shop.

Excellent Guide
This is a fantastic guide to your motorcycle. If you need something to give you step by step instructions that are well documented with photos this is it. I use this for my 04 1150R Rockster to great success.

Nice hardcopy manual
Nice hardcopy manual. I haven't used it much yet, but the first chapter was interesting to read about the history of their motocycles.
