pretty good... but
After buying both the Haynes and Chiltons books, I like Chiltons more. 4 stars. it's still a good book. technically made by the same company.

Not terrible but not complete.
A friend loaned me his old copy. This new copy chopped out maybe 75 pages, no doubt to save printing costs. Well, guess what? You NEED those pages. Book ain’t cheap. The least they could do is give you the whole thing.

Great book for beginners
Not bad at all. Lots of good info in this book. I wish they went into a little more in the exhaust system. But over all really good book.

It is a good reference manual for some simple ( maintenance, brakes etc) and more complex repairs (engine rebuild, seals, ball joints, steering suspension etc). I used it to replace the fuel and brake systems on my truck. Anything I couldn't find "-rebuilding a power steering gearbox-" for example, is easily found on YouTube or other sources. It worked perfectly for what I needed it for and is still my main reference for any work I do on my truck. 5 Stars because it is what it is and it has already paid for itself many times over.

Not super detailed.
Would like a more detailed manual that has better step by step processes.

Waste of Money
Very vague descriptions, poor quality photos. lack of detailed drawings. Doesn't cover all aspects. Waste of money.

Meh
Typical Hanes manual. Contains the basics. Not as thorough as they use to be.
